I swear to god, all of you grammar loving people need to stop! If you can read it, shut up about it. Do you know how sick I am of people making posts simply to point out how many errors someone else made in there post? If you understood what they where saying, it dosen't matter! And for christ sake Grammar nazi? Really? Really? Think about what your calling your self. You have permission to go slam your head in the door for that one. It makes no sense while were on the matter. Nazis where taught that jews were bad, and they shoud kill them. They where kept uneducated by the government so they could be controlled better. So it makes no sense.
Back to what I was saying. I can tell, that at least one person will sit here, pick my rant apart, and find a page worth of grammar/spelling errors, then post them, and think there smart. But that will only further my point of how terrible of a thing it is. Your not adding anything to the conversation by doing so, and how many times has it helped someone understand the above post?
Person 1: "Yeah well i sorta dont want do anything right now even though im really bored."
Person 2: "GRAMMAR NAZI!!!! Yeah, well I sort of don't want to do anything right now, even though I'm bored."
person 3: "O, thanks man! I didn't know what he was saying untill you awesome grammar nazis came along!"
See? That never happens. Ever. Your not doing anything good for anyone, other then taking up space, and annoying the heck out of alot of people. This isn't english class ok? So kindly, unless you can't read whats being said, don't post for the soul sake of fixing it.
So what are your views on this? How often do you see unneeded comments by these "grammar nazis"? How often do you see "grammar nazis" Spell grammar with an e? Just say what you feel on the matter. I would aslo like to hear from a few "grammar nazis" And see what you think the point of doing it is?
You didn't go in depth on anything, you simply posted the genera 'WHAT' you observed, nothing else. Your what I like to call a narciccistic idiot. (spelt that wrong, lol)
Please shut up before you embaress yourself further.
proper observation: I see people mispelling all the time, and these people think they are better then others. it seems those with bad grammer are elitist. I have all my facts wrong, and I'm only mocking a troll, but this is my observation 'in depth'.
What you did: I see those that think they are better than others usually have bad grammer.
You didn't go in depth on anything, you simply posted the genera 'WHAT' you observed,
Could you please explain the whole 'in depth' thing? Anyway, it doesn't matter if I only posted a general answer to the topic, it was still an answer. You asked what we had observed about the community. I answered that. Apparently, answering your questions is considered stupid in your eyes, so I'll just disregard anything you ask my from now on.
proper observation: I see people mispelling all the time, and these people think they are better then others. it seems those with bad grammer are elitist
Okay, nobody wins. Sorry, too offtopic, and neither of the sides are willing to behave.
No, Possum, I am not trying to restrict your right to have an opinion. I was trying to get this in order. I am not siding with anyone either, I am saying that how you constructed your post, you came of as the bad one. If you want to correct someone's grammar, just know most people are less than amused by getting the "You are wrong" slapped in their face, because they were writing too fast, was tired, or simply forgot.
Dacer: Stop being a jerk. You are the one having the most pointless arguments in this thread, and no matter if you are trying to actually contribute to the thread or not, the fact that you have nothing against Possum than being a little over-happy with his grammar finger while doing nothing for the thread at all undermines your argument so greatly, that I will agree that Possum won.
I'm pretty sure we can all agree there was a point to it
It did not seem like the point was to do anything but stating that the OP had bad grammar.
In all the proper ways, my post was both an observation and on-topic.
Observation, yes, but not on topic per say, as it was an observation on one person. That makes your observation just as much a fallacy as Dacer's observation. As already mentioned, a proper observation would have been general, not directed at one person only. At least not for the topic at hand.
*insert answers to all the ninjaing that is going on, and that does absolutely nothing to save this thread*
So, to conclude: No one wins, and I sadly have to lock this great topic, because some people are unable to behave and act on a warning.
