You find an interesting topic, about which you know something and decide to post in the thread - then BOOM, it dies a slow death. Your post just sits there, with no-one answering/talking about/looking at it and you watch it slowly sink through the forum.
Am I the only one who this happens to? I bet this thread will just slide away into nothingness (I seem to have that effect).
Rule of forums: If the OP is interesting, well written and has good points... It most likely will die a fast death. Most of my threads have that effect, though I think that is just because I am boring, and a fan of Wall of Texts, though paragraphed.
It sucks, but many users on the internet does not have the patience to take the time to read and write long, good points.
Many of my forum games I spent like a hour to make completely dies. You know why? Either people don`t like forum games with good stories anymore, WOTs aren't interesting, or the new generation of forum gamers are lazy people that aren't as fun as the ones from before. Many of the senior forum game users are either gone, they moved on from the forum games(which I think I should do, since the new rpgs are rather lacking storylines, and the owners are almost always uncreative) or rarely post. And when good RPG people come, their rpgs die instantaneously. So pretty much what I`m saying is that a new generation of good forum game users should come quickly, or else the forum game place will die an agonizing death just like the Sonny Forum.
or the new generation of forum gamers are lazy people
Don't discredit mai generation.

I don't even like the newer games in there. There needs to be a consistency of original rate above's and kill bob/<V^ good forum games.

I think almost of all of us are guilty of being lazy on the forums sometimes.
And yes I agree with Cenere, It has to be interesting or else no one will like it therefor it dies. But other hand, if it IS interesting then it won't die off for awhile.
I agree with Cenere. Things I like just die, sometimes after I post in them. Oh and Cen your wall o' texts do scare off some. Whenever a moderator comes along and posts a giant wall of text, for some reason the typical reaction of lesser beings would be to run away.
The good days of the forum games section are gone. Mostly it's full of uninspired RPGs, unoriginal games and a few surviving old games. For some reason, me mass reviving the games doesn't bring them back to life. As soon as a game thread reaches page 3 or so, out of sight out of mind for the most part.
This thread will die. Either later today or in a few days.
Usually the threads with a very good OP are very specific, when a thread is too specific it cannot be answered by the vast majority of the users. So, only the few users that are interested in this topic and who can substantiate their opinion will answer it. These person will post several times, but after a while they will have covered almost every aspect of the topic. This makes them lose their interest in it and leads to the death of the thread.
Well, the topics have to be either really funny or really serious these days for there to be a long-going thread. Otherwise, people are too lazy to care. I don't have much hope in a generation that is too lazy to read something on the computer.
