I understand that this site owner(s) want all the money they can get for the site and in real life. I can deal with the usual Ads around the border of the site but like in youtube adds get annoying when they come before videos (youtube)and when they pop up from the bottom of the screen. I can understand why you want Ads but there is no need to make your registered and unregistered members click the [close] option on a useless Ad. We understand that when we play a game Wizard 101 is paying you to put Ads up on the sides of the screen but we get the point that they want us to try their site out. We can see the Ads on the side and top of the screen so why make it pop up at the bottom? I don't understand mabye the people who are creating these Ads give you a ton more money to do so. I just really hate that when I'm in the middle of a game then this Ad pops up and obstructs my view. This is my opinion please don't send 'hate mail' and such just let me here your opinions.
If I understand correctly, it's whoever is paying AG who chooses to put the annoying ads up, not ArmorGames Staff themselves. However, ArmorGames can communicate with the people putting the ads up and tell them when they go too far.
The ads should only pop up if you scroll over them for a few seconds. If they pop up as soon as you mouse over them or from out of nowhere, let one of us moderators or administrators know and we will see what we can do.
The ad that pops up at the bottom of the ad is only supposed to do so once, and once you tell it to go away it should. Also, nothing should be popping up in the middle of gameplay. I don't think AG has any ads that are supposed to do that. And as far as the video ads go, when they are playing while a game is loading you can click past it as soon as the game has loaded.
If something else is happening, then the ads are not working properly for you. Either that, or you might want to do a quick virus scan on your computer. Sometimes you can pick up advertising viruses from around the web that will actually alter the ad content on other sites. I have gotten them before, and it made all of the advertisements on AG and other sites pretty wonky.
