no jimi will never EVER be on the level that led zeppelin was on. i mean ya i like jimi, bt lets face it he was over rated and still is today.

the overall talent from zep beats jimi already, john bonham was better then mich mitchells, robert plant was a better singer then jimi and im gunna say it, jimmy page was better then jimi hendrix, and hes still alive.

then theres the fact that led zep was a folk band and jimi was blues. its only natural and safe to say that led zep were better song writers because of the fact that they were a folk rock band.

then theres the fact that jimi didnt have many albums, led zep had MULTIPLE HUGE albums, with more hits then jimi ever had.

Led Zep in my mind is better...

But if you put them both together, that would be a kick-ass band.

Led Zep always wins. I mean, have you gone to the stairway to heaven?

Sorry, I have to mention stairway to heaven. You can't make a thread about Led Zeppelin without mentioning stairway to heaven.

I'd say Hendrix, because both his music appeals to my taste more, and because of how much he stepped up the black community.

Both are amazing.
But I personally prefer more Led Zeppelin's sound, so Led Zeppelin for me.

Wow, this is a tough one. Umm... I would say as a whole Led Zeppelin is better, but in terms of just guitar Jimi Hendrix wins. Overall though, I don't think I can pick one that is truly better.

I cant believe someone actually mentioned stairway. I love zepp a very very very very very lot and I hate that damn stupid song. Thats my opinion.

As a band, i choose Led Zeppelin, but Jimi is, and will always be the best guitarist ever.

LED zeplin, though it's unfair to compare because jimi is one person and led zeplin is a band.

hendrix had alot of individual talent himself, but zeppelin is a Much better band as a whole, and has Much better songs/songwriting.

I would have to say Led Zeppelin. They are extremely talented and were a great influence for many other bands. Yes, Jimi himself had some great talent. Maybe if he had survived a little bit longer than he and his band could have been the greater ones. But unfortunately, he didn't. So I'll have to stick with Zeppelin.
