So I know there's was already a thread about this but I stopped looking for it after 5 pages...
But anyways, this will hopefully be the official Black Ops thread. Talk about it, discuss it, etc. Obviously, the game isn't out yet, but w/e. (That was a ****load of commas)

1) You only get two perks in mutliplayer, and this combination of perks determines your third perk. 2) There is a new armour system, e.g. Cold-Blooded and juggernaut are armours you can wear (not much detail given on this). 3) The FAMAS returns, but is no longer a 3-round burst weapon. Instead it is full-auto. 4) There is no M4. Instead another new gun mentioned seems like it will take its place, the SIG Commando. 5) Other new weapons confirmed include the RPK, Skorpion and MAC11. 6) There is no commando perk. (:]) 7) The scavenger perk is included, but no longer replenishes equipment. 8) The One man army perk is also not included. 9) The highest killstreak reward (at this time in devlelopment) is 15. 10) There is no emergency airdrop, but there is a care package. 11) As confirmed before, killstreaks will not stack. For instance, if you get a 5 kills without dying and receive your killstreak reward, the kills you get with that killstreak reward will not count towards your next killsreak (e.g. 7 kill killsteak). You will have to get two more kills, in that instance, by other means to receive your next killstreak. 12) You can sprint to prone in the current build of the game. Basically this means you can dive straight on your belly after sprinting, instead of having to stop, crouch and than go prone. 13) The tactical knife is gone, while a new knife is being introduced: the ballistic knife. This is a knife that has a spring that can shoot a blade (in real life, not necessarily in the game). 14) The claymore is a piece of equipment, and you only get 1 per life. 15) Grenades are not considered equipment, and replenished by scavenger. 16) The M16 is in the game, and still a powerful weapon. (Or as Woody puts it, still the ****!) 17) The PSG1 sniper rifle is in the game. 18) UAV, airstrike and 3 types of helicopters are back as killstreaks. The Pave Low is confirmed as well, and has a feature unique to the game. 19) The SR-71 plane is also one of the killstreak rewards.
However I saw yet another video on Sniping - they were all one shot one kill. Except the one where the guy had Last Stand (now known as 'Second Chance'.
I watched some of it, but it kept lagging because I'm using a really bad computer right now since my computer is going to be gone for at least a month because of how slow Geek Squad is :P.
Anyway, I don't really like the way the scope zoomed in, but it is what it is, I guess.
-Pro version of Second chance is revive; ANYONE can revive you now, not just other players with second chance.

I'm alright with it, I loved the overall shape (reminding me of Battlefield) and the sound of the gun, however it was very sharp.
I hope they stick with bolt-action. Then again, they also have the WA2000 :/

So in W@W, if you were using second chance/last stand, you could be "revived" by other users of the same perk. but in Black Ops, if you get downed with Second Chance, anyone on your team can revive you; not just people using the same perk.

Is it like 'hold USE button to revive ally' or is it a perk for a syringe or something?
Also the snipers look more authentic, very nice indeed.
I hope that the game isn't too realistic with movements though, then it won't have that Call of Duty feeling that made me still want to play Mw2.
(as I have no witnessed the finesse they had implemented with World at War, sadly? I don't know. )
People really need to get off of Treyarch's dick with World at War. They were making two other games at the same time, and only like 100 people worked on WaW. Since then, they've been only working on Black Ops, and I mean about 250 people were. They also ported CoD4 to the Wii last November, and they actually made patches for it, so I think I see something good coming. Still, not trying to get too excited.

Gun appearances have nothing to do with that. The only 'realistic' thing I can think that they are implementing is the dolphin dive. If you're sprinting and you press the prone button you dive forward, however you cannot shoot your weapon - making this a purely defensive ability.

Thought you were. Anywho, people need to realize that though. I don't think Treyarch would do a poor job on making a video game on purpose.
Well given publicity done to the CoD franchise it wouldn't matter how bad or good it will be - there's 12 year old nut jobs playing MW2, a very bad game and will rip anyone up (or try) because they think it sucks. This draws reviewers to want to give it nice score, with no downsides (NONE, AT ALL), which makes the more reasonable people think its worth it.
I don't know Treyarch - they may make a good game, they might not, I think they will given first looks, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
