I'm thinking about getting a new laptop soon (the one I'm using right now is really old). And I was wondering which brand is the best, for the thing I'm looking for.

I'm looking for a lightweight, small-ish(13-15in), good memory, good hard drive, and the price ranges from 400-800 USD. And if I missed anything let me know.

Battery life and what you're actually going to use the laptop for, besides smacking people in the head.

Well I have a Dell Inspiron i1545, which is 15.6in and around 500-700 USD depending on where you buy it.

Here's the specifications.

-2.2GHz Intel Pentium Dual Core T4400 Processor (1MB cache, 800MHz FSB)

-4GB System Memory
-Media Card Reader
-10/100 Ethernet
-Wireless 802.11 b/g Card
-320GB Hard Drive
-DVD/CD±R/RW Optical Drive - Plays and creates CDs and DVDs
-Integrated Intel 4500 MHD Media Accelerator Graphics
-Built-in 1.3MP webcam
-Windows 7 Home Premium Operating System (64-bit)
-6-cell Battery
-High Definition Audio 2.0

Great Laptop tbh.

Lol. Battery life should last about 3 hrs+. And I'm going to use the laptop for gaming, and web browsing.

Dell is a pretty good choice for gaming laptops, they make graphics cards that are easy and cheap to replace.

Inspiron's the only kind of Dell you can buy with that price range. Everything else is over that. I suggest comparing an Inspiron with an HP laptop. You might get more out of the HP than the Dell. However, they are heavier than Dells.

Windows 7 ultimate as amazing.
Go with a Dell or an HP.
I have both.
HP for my schooling and my Dell for my Gaming/Web Browsing.
