I've noticed for a while now that a lot of people don't really put much effort into commenting on a game and how irritating for the developer or people who want to play the game this could be. Also that when a comment gets merited nothing much happens and it gets lost in the vast expanse of garbage comments. I was thinking wouldn't it be more useful if these comments or one comment were somehow more accessible then they are now like being stickied or there being a button you can click to view them all.

But I like seeing one letter comments and a thousand "it's okay i guess" comments.

Either Poe's law, or &quotlease find somewhere else to look at those comments, then".

I will say the moderants are not being cheap. If they made it easeir (sorry for bad spelling) people will make big comments all the time for the merits I think the moderants are doing fine.

I think there should be rated comments, where comments with the most rates gets to the top, then a moderator merits it, and it's permanently up there.

I'm thinking that merits are fine as they are - to me, a merit-worthy comment is simply one or two paragraphs of good, decent conversation, something that sticks out of the crowd. Now, that isn't exactly hard to write, so if one doesn't get merited, then move onto the next one - there aren't nearly enough moderators to look at every worthless comment that exists, so you just move on and comment more, and try to make all your comments useful.

So yeah, I'm thinking that the current system is fine as it is, it's just that there will be some sacrifices that will have to be made.

they should have a page for them whitch includes what game there for and the authors of the games should be able to give merits for there games and have there own merit page

to sum it up
-page for all merits
-a page for each author for his/her merits

It really is quite rare to see a comment that is not just 2 or 3 words in length and totally useless. I think that the comments need a rating or a thumbs up (much like YouTube) that will then move it up on the totem pole of actually rated comments, and those comments have their own section in the comment section. Now there's always a risk of having walkthroughs or cheats in the comments, but can't we just leave that for the players to decide whether to bump those up or not. It's just an idea. Though, I think we really should have something to be able to browse all the "useful" comments. Merits are good, but I just think that we should really have something a little more advanced.
