@Vrighty: I just remembered, I used an energy hero with alchemists-augments and my poison thieves hero, who I gave an energy switch to make it physical. I equipped the third hero with bonuses to make paving cheaper and the others with a strong elemental, ranger enhancer for the thieves and sword enh<ncer for the augments.
I started creating a lot of thieves, rather than upgrading, and paved the choke points and the corners, so as I got to the energy-weak waves I had spawned 4 augments. During these waves I upgraded only the augments (strenght->armor piercing->hit rate->crit chance->strength x3) and I finished witha a few lives. Then I had a little trouble with the boss, as the augments cured him, but the thieves were dealing more damage than he could cure, so I killed it at the third lap.
New idea Hero1: any hero -Equipped items: reduce paving cost x3 Hero2: a strong hero with an advanced melee unit -Equipped items: el. switch: energy, elemental, swordplay Hero3: a strong hero with a basic, range 3-4 magic/ranged unit -Equipped items: el. switch: physical, elemental, ranged If heroes 2&3 are already from the element specified add an elemental bonus. First pave the 4 ends of the lines and place Hero2's advanced units in there (gradually). After you have done that, pave the eight central tiles and place Hero3's basic units there (gradually). Upgrade units as needed.
1) Only use Trainee Kira, don't hire any heroes. 2) Put all points into magic use for yourself, and all points into elemental and magic use for the hero 3) Get an elemental switch for any element 4) Look to see which elements aren't absorbed/have most weaknesses and use that one 5) Pwn
Element will either reduce damage done in half or double the damage done to an enemy. In some of the later level you will have to mix and match element, since their will be 2-3 waves that will absorb one element. Set-up 3 lines of heros each with a different element to counter levels with multiple absorbing element mobs. I found that out the hard way. Everything was going fine until wave 16 and that was the only wave which absorbed energy and since I only had energy archwizards I lost.
Well, I have trouble getting all the talents, but I finished the Arkadian storyline with just Kira the trainee. Good game, good game, if not repetitive.
