Now, I don't want to tell you guys how to do your jobs, but this is a suggestion. This suggestion will regard mainly the way to deal with all infractions based on messages (spamming, trolling, flaming, excessive swering and use of slurs, etc) If this does not interrest you, you may not read the rest and I will respect that.
Now I am basing these suggestions based on the fact that this community is growing.
1.Ban system. I understand, correct me if I'm wrong, someone makes a complaint if the moderators feel that there should be something done here, then they ban the person for the reason they feel is correct. I would suggest a system where you have a section opened to the public, where you can post a ban request. Then, send an Email to the person with the ban. if they feel like it, they can appeal and get a "fair trial".
2. De-Merit system If you get a ban, there should be a system to keep track of those things and it may or may not decrease your points (opposite of Merits) and this can also display publically who have commited these infractions to keep an extra eye on them.
3. Rules I have read and understand the rules of the forum and i personally would raffine them. For example, the rule about not complaining if you got banned, just makes the staff here look bias in my opinion. I understand that you don't want to get harassed all day by someone who got banend, but that's the way it works. And hey, if they got a fair trial what do they have to cry about? Another example would be the anti-spam rule. Now I understand you have a 30 second wait period, wich just pisses off the spammer, but doen't stop him. If you don't believe it, check my profile. Now spam may have many different meanings or definitions to different people, meaning you will have to explain more precisely the meaning of the term.
4. Spam/Flaming section No one is immuned from spamming or flaming, especially forums. my suggestion to you would simply be to give a section entirely to spamming and flaming (either light flaming or excessive flaming) will have to be contented in this section. That way, people who feel the need to do so, can in the appropriate place and the appropriate time, reducing flaming greatly in all other places ( I can tell you from my personnal experience where n a forum we had a section for flamer's high horse)
5. A search Bar inside the forums Every time I want to either learn about something or want to create a new topic and I don't know if it already exist. This will also make it easyer to track old posts you've posted in. Also having a page with all the members when you want to find someone with ease.
That will be all for now. I have kept all my suggestions as brief as possible and if you wish I could further explain or develop these suggestions.

i honestly don't mind not getting 2 points for posting on my profile, after all it is my damn profile, i should be able to post on it to all my friends can see it.
sorry for double posting, delete it if you don't like it. or dont do anything i already have a mod deleteing my posts. but, all these suggestions were based on the fact that these forums are growing (more people) and it would be evasive to deny that fact. and it would eventually break up your system if you cant adapt it. Kind of like how USA is literally fucked and how they wanted the world to adapt to them insted of adapting. I agree that you system is extremely effective, so far. But that doesn't mean there isn't room for improvements.
On the talking with friends: Use MSN or AIM or something similar, if you really don't want mods or anyone else messing around with your talking. There is, however, a difference between, uhm, talking to your friends, and chatting with your friends. The latter would mean that you more or less sit and wait for them to reply, then reply as soon as you have gotten the reply, and so forth. It's a messenger, not a chat, after all. Going about and check your profile every once in a while to see if there is a reply seems to be the proper way to communicate on this site, and if you want to communicate effectively with your friends, an offsite chat or any of the messenger services would most likely do a lot more for you than using a flash game site anyway. And most of the time, people are not spamming intentional, which is why we in most cases, unless it is extremely excessive, simply warn a user to make them aware of what they are doing is/can be/will be considered against the rules. But yeah, if you want to talk freely, without mods interfering, then you should do it off the site.

Uhm...? If mods are harassing you, go report them. I do not, however, understand what you mean by "telling me how I think". If it is related to the unintentional spamming, then warnings or bans are based on what you are doing, and not what we think you are doing.

This is why we don't ban people without having evidence against them. If there is evidence of someone breaking the rules, then they are not innocent. If they are innocent, they would not have been banned. But again, if you have an issue with what you believe is a totally unjustified ban, then go report it, or at least ask for a reasoning for the ban.

It's what your about is there for. It is also far better and more efficient to use than your messenger.
But that doesn't mean there isn't room for improvements.
Never said differently. We are just disagreeing on what those improvements should be. The devs are currently working on a version 3.0 of AG, so hopefully there will be improvements to the system when it comes out.

But, whoever banned me is insulting me by saying they may or may not feel that "I didnt give games a fair rating" How the fuck do you know how i feel about a game? i give out 10/10, 9/10, 1/10, ... because you like blondes and i like latinas doesnt mean i'm not fair thowards blondes. When you rate a game, your supposed to say what sucked about it, what should be added, and what was good. Thats why people who do this in a clean way get a merit. Many don't get merits cause they ethier didn't do this or didn't point out the games flaws and what could be added to the furthest extent.
Online chat sites. Xat.com allows you set up a little fully functional chatroom, and you can then give out the url to whoever you wanna chat with. It's not quite private, but it's a lot more private than profile comments here, and you would be in control of it.

This has nothing to do with mind reading. It has to do with evaluating a behavioral pattern that you have been exhibiting. You rated an awful lot of games in a very short time. This indicates that you rated them purely to gain a bunch of points very fast, and not because you actually played them, considered what rating they should get, and rated them accordingly. The "you were spamming purely for AP" is an assumption that obviously isn't necessarily true. However, if you weren't spamming for AP you were apparently just spamming for the sake of spamming, and that's honestly just dumb (any kind of spamming is, but at least the AP lovers have a goal).
If you think you have expressed your entire opinion of a game with less than seen words, you are going to have to accept that it will likely be viewed as pointless spam and treated as such. If you don't want to accept this, put more effort into your comments.
I will refrain from commenting on the issue of the wording of the ban, as it was not me who issued it. The problem here is, though, that we do not have a standardized message for these things - the wording will be different depending on who writes it. This is something I wouldn't mind changing, btw.
i see almost always when i look at comments for game a 1-5 word sentence like good game, great, nice game, bad , could be better 7/10
Cenere, the system would only work if you were only allowed one and only one forums account. There would have to be a lot of changes for everything to work perfectly, and those changes are what people don't like. I never really liked the infraction system, but I never got in trouble either, so it didn't affect me. It affected the rule breakers.

That changes nothing. As mentioned: Alternate accounts can be made with a new email account, and considering I assume the offender wouldn't be stupid enough to go about and yell up about having the original account, the problem is the same. In general we do only allow one account per user, because sooner or later someone will abuse it, but we cannot hinter that someone goes about and make other ones, because they got more email addresses.

I usually do this. Or more often "Please refrain from writing less than seven words when you are commenting or posting. It is considered spamming, and ignoring this will lead to a more severe ban. If you cannot express your opinion in more than a few words, you should probably reconsider actually voicing that opinion in the game comments. Thanks."
No, no. vBulletin forums have an IP checker. When an account is made on the same IP, it is shown on the site. This forum is different, a lot less features.
Had IP thing, it broke. Would like IP thing back. Although due to siblings, it is not a completely foolproof tool, and it's also very easy to get around via proxies.
These forums did? When was that? I thought this site never had IP checking mechanisms or IP bans.
The devs don't wanna do IP bans, but like most websites it is possible for ArmorGames to theoretically display the IPs of it's visitors. It was a mod thing. Still works here and there, but it's mostly broken and thus unreliable.
i think this would be a good idea, in my old account, i made one crude comment and i got perma-banned, i think i should have atleast been warned considering the fact that i had like 10,000 AP, and this was my first ban and first infraction of the rules and guidelines of the website
Dude, if you have a problem with a ban, particularly a permanent one, complain via the Contact page. Making a new account to circumvent a ban is, well, breaking the rules enough for another ban.
