Alright has anyone noticed lately all of the newer games are getting extremely easy to get through no matter what difficulty if you have the hang of the game? All of the newer games have all these handicaps or things are just way too obvious and you barely have to use any mental power where a lot of the older games you had to be as careful as possible just to not die in the process of solving a puzzle or something.
Like for example a game that's been re-made many times. Final Fantasy I. The original game is extremely hard and you have to be careful with what you do and have absolutely no leads where to head exactly and the enemies get really tough and all and the enemies got increasingly stronger to the point where if you didn't do a battle sequence right you're as good as dead.
But the newer versions of the game get easier and easier as I've played them through, The monsters are a lot weaker and much less aggressive and you're characters have bigger stat growths. The hit ratio is much higher killing enemies faster and the exp ratio seems to have decreased to level up your characters. In other words they made the game too easy. Now if anyone has noticed in any of the newer games that if you're the hero of the story you're basically a god in combat skills and stats even compared to your own teammates? Well anyway just a small rant I wanted to throw out there that newer games are getting [b]TOO[/b easy and they should up the difficulty on everything...
Yea I love Final fantasy one and older games, love my 64.But some newer games are fun, though they may be missing storyline or difficulty they have graphics and gameplay...and multi-player which brings a whole new difficulty.
Older games tend to be better, since they usually required skill or thought, or actually had story. Newer games all seem to be targeted at lazy gamers who just want to boast about how much time they can waste on it and gain "mad skills". Take WoW for example. Near the beginning, it was nearly impossible to level up and end-game material such as getting good gear was hard. Now, with each new patch they come out with, they make it that much easier to level up or get gear, to the point getting gear is too easy.
Older games, absolutely. New games are just old concepts with fresh coats of paint. Game developers took advantage of the new graphic perspective to make games look good, but are they really as enjoyable as the old ones. I for one have more pleasure playing my old games. I recently ordered Baten Kaitos on ebay and I'm stuck on it even though I have a Ps3 with Fallout 3 game of the year edition, Resident evil 5 Gold edition and many more renowned Ps3 games.
I personally think that older games were more challenging and ,most of the time, funner but if new games arn't as challenging I will only like them if they make up in length and the abilty to not get bored with them as fast
yeah old games are good cause their hard (possibly bad example) like hitman bloodmoney to get silent assassin you really had to be a silent assassin otherwise you would do poorly on your score but now i don't have much trouble playing MW2 through and through though it has little replay value that's also a good thing of older games when i beat hit man trying to be sneaky i just played again and again using different methods or just grabbing an m-16 and killing everyone
