Nearly every night. This nightmare comes. And it haunts me.
It's scary. I see creepy things looking into my window in this nightmare. Like ET, this wried lady from an American kids show named Courage the Cowardly Dog or something and a witch from a game I had when I was a kid. I even saw my dead father with a mutated head with a baby with the same face as my dad. I'm scared shitless. I'm scared to go to sleep. Please help. Any dream-professionals? What does this mean?
It means that courage the cowardly dog is gonna eat you! Here's a tip: GO TO SLEEP EARLIER. Also, no scary movies. Any drinks that have sugar in them give you nightmares, and keep you up later. My rule is no soft drinks after 7:00. Pizza does the same thing late at night. Also, what you should maybe do is put a nightlight in or something like that. Just some tips. I hope that helped.
Dreams are a natural way for your mind to resolve unfinished thoughts and emotions. I've had a few dreams that lasted for months at a time. Most came after stressful or traumatic events in my life. 2014631 had some good tips, the going to bed earlier helped in my situation. So did just winding down with music or a book. Turn off the electronics at an earlier time as well.
usually if i can get my head off of scary stuff like that before i go to bed i dont have dreams period, but if i have a dream its usually about what i was thinking about before i went to bed. I hope this helps sounds like your situation sucks.
if i feel like im gonna have a super creepy or dream or have had and wnt stop i just think this order idk why it works but it does for me pie, cake, cupcake, and then repeat backwards in order cupcake cake pie it works for me.... i would have also stated the night light no sugar pizza and other stuff and music but already stated... hope it ends. dreams are images, sounds, threwout your day that you thought saw and heard. now it can be caused by tramatic events from along time ago...(dead dad) think of why that is happening try to solve a unsolved problem of your dad or think of why its happening. put thought into it
maybe do the most horrifying thing you can think of and maybe you will not have conventional fears anymore, but will allways fear something though.......ME!!!!!!!
I found that if you have an iPod, sleeping with your headphones in at a low volume distracts your brain enough to have a dream based on the things it's hearing in your sleep.
. . .
I should really stop listening to Slayer in my sleep.
*cough*
I guess you could try to think of something scarier.
You should see a therapist, your nuts JK I had nightmares once, but i now have dreamless sleep, no nightmares not even dreams, it doesnt bother me, as long as Freddy Krueger (is that how you spell it?) doesnt come into my dreams and decide to chase me around central park in my underpants!
