Your vote? Mine would be, aside from Freebird obviously, either More than a Feeling or Comfortably Numb.

Mediterranean Sundance by Al Di Meola. It's acoustic guitar, just to warn you metal heads.

MICHEAL JACKSON BEAT IT! wAS HAD A SICK GUITAR SOLO IN IT!

First of all learn to spell the guys name right. I mean come on hes dead and was on the news and yet you didn't realize its spelled Michael?
Number two is that guitar solo was done by Eddie van halen.

Google, maybe he was saying that the song "Beat It" by Michael Jackson had a very good guitar solo, and maybe he was typing really fast which is why he spelled it Micheal and not Michael.

Another pretty good solo, even though it's all shredding, is Let Me Hear You Scream by Ozzy Osbourne. His guitarist in the song is a new guy, Gus G. It's on his new album which I got today.
Ozzy's guitarists are known for good solos like:
Iommi-War Pigs
Rhodes-Crazy Train/Mr. Crowley
Wylde-No More Tears

More thrash solos, their very underrated:

Toxik-World Circus
Exodus-Fabulous Disaster
Annihilator-Alison Hell
Forbidden-Through Eyes of Glass

Let's see... That's a pretty hard decision for me so I'll list a few of the ones off the top of my head.

Trapped Under Ice (Intro Solo) by Metallica

Awesome intro solo. Kirk shreds through dozens of notes with the killer wah pedal.

Fade To Black (Intro Solo) by Metallica

Another interesting solo by Kirk Hammett. I like the style, feel, sound, and speed of this one. It blends in perfectly with everything else.

The Day That Never Comes by Metallica

I love this solo because it's split between 2 parts. James Hetfield playing the lower part and Kirk Hammett playing the higher one. It represent a lot of skill to play 2 parts in perfect time and it just sounds amazing.

Aqualung by Jethro Tull

Dropping the subject from Metallica to another outstanding solo and one not to many people have probably heard of or don't pay much attention to. I really like the style of this one and the way it goes from slow to fast with a lot of slides and pull offs. Simply awesome to listen too.

The solo in Come to the Sabbath by Mercyful Fate and Agents of Steel by Agent Steel. Also Kirk Hammet is overrated.

I didn't see anyone mention any of the work by the guitarists for the band Darkest Hour. Some of the solos in there are completely amazing.

For a second there I thought you were talking about the Megadeth song, it too has a good solo. Never heard of the band though.
