Should you be able to have a signature for forum posts and comments, like in emails and texts? Just another random idea brought to you by the N-Man.

The N-Man.

Doesn't fit...

Anyways, I used to have a "Home made" signature, but a certain moderator asked me to take it down because there was a reason why they don't have it.

The reason.

I have no idea.

Who said it was supposed to fit?

Home made's gonna crash the site or something. I mean AG approved ones or something.

This gave me an idea. Might as well post it.

It could be like armatars.

You need AP, and there is special ones in Summer, Winter Etc.

Just an idea.

If they have this it would be name signatures only.

I don't know how they would do it though.

Make our forum like every other forum in the known world. It seems to me that signatures are pointless, considering all they do is attract some attention, and take up alot of space.

+, they increase the loading time of a page containing signatures... Pictures have to be loaded too you know.

And, it IS possible to have a signature, but then you'd have to manually add it after every post. Noone takes the time to do so though.

Usually signatures just have 14 year old anime girls with double-D's. Signature would disrupt the uniform posts of Armor Games.

On other forums, signatures seem to be their just to distract me, so I really could care less for them.

I only agree with signatures if there are heavy restricted. I do like the use of signatures, though I am aware of their abuse.

- Character limit
- Image size limit
- Image dimension limit
- Formatting limits

There should be signatures (but only text ones as I believe was already said)

Hey guys ^_^

I'm new here, I've just realized there was a sign up button >_<

On topic tho, coming from big forums, far more advanced then the one i see here, which include Signatures of all sizes (restricted, and limited to 3 signatures or 500 characters long) the loading time is quite acceptable, with a forum like this, you won't notice a difference in loading times, if images are saved in PNG. also, they cut any extra loading time by half. Signatures, are attractive, and can be great for people who want to dress there posts up, there is also a choice on some forums to Check the box each time you post to include your signature

Couldn't we always add the 'simple-style' and 'full-experience' feature that some forums have? For people who don't want the forums to load slower on their computer they can just choose the simplified option that doesn't have signatures. However, those people that want their posts all fancied up and want to see other peoples signatures can go for the full experience.

^ He's right you know.

It's just like using your Mobile Phone Web Browser on some websites, to using your computer.

There would need to be a "show no signatures" button. My iPod couldn't handle it >.<

I'm all for image signatures, except for when 2 people in a thread start back2backing. Then it would be annoying as he'll unless they have the common sense to not put it on every post. There would need to be a button next to the text box saying "attach my signature" or something.
