I love Pokemon, but i agree, the new Pokemon look bad. The Pokemon "Gear", for example, is the worst idea for a Pokemon in my opinion. I also agree with Laithes 100%, Pokemon started to become lame from the Sinnoh region. I think my favorite region is the Hoenn region though.
I love the game. I was actually really happy to find my Leaf Green when I was cleaning my room today.
I really don't know how to feel about the newest games though. I will buy them.. because I am a hardcore fan like that... and I need to, to stay in tournament play... but again, I am not really sure.
And the Hoenn region is my favorite. I really don't enjoy the original 150(1) like most people for some strange reason.
I have all the DS games. I really enjoy them because I am a tournament player, and you see all kinds of pokemon in use being strategically awesome. Ever get destroyed by a raticate? I have.

There's actually a lot of strategy in the games too. Go ahead. Try playing in the tournament circuit. It's actually really hard. Plus, now the format for the game is double battle. you get to bring up to six pokemon with you and there are some weird restrictions. But yeah.. try beating mewtwo and kyogre together... or palkia and mewtwo.
Old good, New not so good. to many pokemon. the whole point origanally was to catch them all. good luck doing that without cheating or what not. the only way you can get some of the legendaries is to go to stupid events in japan that only happen once! who honestly does that. I hate not completing things and not being able to get the cool legendaries drives me crazy. i rest my case
I used to love pokemon. I'm of the first and second generation (I'm 19) But then it got out of hand. Sadly it has fallen so far. I say they bring back the old stuff back, just for nostalgia.
Have you heard of Fire Red/Leaf Green? Heart Gold/Soul Silver? Yea, remakes. They HAVE BEEN bringing back old stuff for nostalgia. In fact, I've played all of the old games so much I'm sick of them. Maybe if you're not really a hard core gamer and only play an hour of pokemon a week, you'll be content with only 151 or 251(as of gen 2), but if you play it at a decent rate and you play video games(of other kinds too) for hours a day, trust me, you'll soon be begging for more pokemon to come out. I am so sick of seeing zubat or golbat in EVERY CAVE I GO INTO since I was a small child! GAHHH! The only new pokemon that I have a problem with is the pink thing with a painted flowers on it and its evolution.

I agree, except that most of the event only legendaries are actually pretty gay, "fairy" pokemon. Besides Darkrai. Plus I'm not a huge legendary enthusiast. I've never used one on my main fighting team.
Pokemon was the fist game I got on the Gameboy colour. And ive always loved playing it ever since. If I was younger and didnt grow up with the Gameboy i probably wouldnt fancy plying it.
i love all pokemon games and show. i collectem the only thing i hated about yellow blue and red was that it was hard to train after u beat the game cause u couldnt battle trainsers again then again thats all the game was no added on thing
