Step 2) Build a Make-Shift barricade and make sure its next to a car park if you own a car sleep in there for a night. Step 3) After you have had a sleep Drive to a store take all that you can from the stor the best place is a Petrol Station because it has Sugar Sweets, bread and milk and water and juice take as much as you can. Step 4) For the next couple of hours spend time finding survivors. Step 5) Take you and the survivors (if there are any) back to the barricade then give them something to eat and drink. Step 6) Teach them how to use a weapon and were to hit a zombie. Step 7) Go to a Ship Port or even an airport (Ship Port recommended easier to drive) and jak a boat or a plane and stay out at sea. Step 8) Submarines and other boats. Look out for them. tell them whats happend and if they believe you tell them to follow you to a port then meet up face to face ask them all questions you can think of. (NOT STUPID ONES) Step 9) Goto a gun stor kill the zombies inside grab all the guns you can and goto other stores do the same with them. Step 10)Go back out to sea or air. Do the same all the time and you will survive to the longest.
Zombie have 2x a dogs strength and crowbar vs heavy? Not gonna happen! Heavy will smash the mush out of you!
They may have two times the strength of a dog, but that ain't gonna matter when you are smashing his skull in. Umm, yes, a crowbar is the best choice if you can find one, also I think metal pipe (lol, sonny) would also do because they are in the middle. Not too heavy so you can swing it fast, and not light enough to where it won't do any damage at all. Also, heavy may smash the "mush" out of a zombie, but zombies are quick, and you'll need to be quicker. This be essential.
BTW If people have guns they should be brave enough to do something stupid like shoot it!

What about Rowing Boats put survivors on a load of them XD
Yeah, but you might not find a handy rowing boat lying around, and finding survivors is very rare, since everyone would've already got the hell outa dodge.
but remember Barricades can be improved
You aren't going to spend all day repairing a baracade, you'll want to move, because they'll be on your tail pretty quick.

Make-Shift meens Couple of days so bassicaly stay for 2 days food drink survivor(maybe) Petrol ect then move
I wouldn't reccomend staying in one place for two days, plus if you find a survivor, make him find his own food and drinks. You don't have to baby them.
sorry, but there are no research or plausible evidence to show zombies are stupid. You are basing that after movies, but you can also conclude in some movies they are just as intelligent. Furthermore, as i said in another topic you don't go looking for survivors and extinguish resources and energy. If you happen upon someone strong and someone that could be helpful later on you take them, if they aren't you leave or kill them... the objective is to survive, not make friends
I think it's kind of hard to kill other survivors. In time of perril people tend to be more humane, ofcourse you have your average scumbag who will only think for his own! But to kill a non infected person that's just insane, i don't say you have to stick with them, but kill them for their possesions is just cruel. Also the melee part! Blunt or sharp, depends on how contagious the zombie infection is. I mean if you stab them and your weapons gets stuck you're in trouble. But if you bash their brains in and you get blood or other tissue in your eyes or mouth, won't that make you infected? Fire power is also overrated, if you shoot they can locate you. In my opinion it's best to keep moving and stay low and hide. Try to avoid contact with the infected, as in: do not go to a gun store and kill zombies to get the weapons! Every night you should also have an exit plan ready, Make a bag you can grab instantly, know all the exits plan some escape routes. They on sea part is not bad as I myself do know how to sail, but eventualy you will run out of stuff so you will have to go to shore anyhow.
between the killing and not killing a survivor... You have a number of factors some being mental stability, physical wellbeing, harm lvl, and if i sat and thought there would be more.
I'm not saying it wouldn't be the right choice in all situations, BUT if you are worried about surviving and a non infected is mental, weak and shriveled, and is alerting attention you either get out or put the guy down... If your life is on the line, if i was trying to survive and a man was there doing the above i would have to problem simply killing and walking off. I may say a prayer for him, but he would have been kill by zombies or be infected sooner than later.
You have to take in that in different situation you must react different. if the virus can infect or make food contagious, then you must use other means of getting calories. IF the zombies are faster and superior, then you have to account that..
The only way to really know how to survive a zombie apocalypse in real life, and then some back to this forum and tell all. so good luck if it ever really did happen
Samdawghomie. Skipping to the barricade part inexperienced survivors will try to be "Mr. O'Brave" and stay to kill some more zombies, so then obviously they would really try to improve there barricade. Also barricade on a roof is good to! If you already have sharp knives slice some zombie and move on to another area. It's best to try and stay near an empty building with a vehicle to make quick escapes. Awww I shoulda put that if you want to play hero then do that XD lol'd
This is an interesting thought on how to survive. I have a strategy that might work as well.
First, I would gather weapons from my house, and supplies like Duct Tape, Food and water. Then I'd go to my local used car dealership and hotwire a Hummer or larger vehicle and pick up some of my friends. Two of which have shotguns and semi automatic pistols. As we drive off, we pick up more food and seeds for vegetables and such. We would go to not heavily populated area and grow our own food for a long time. The zombies will eventually die of starvation and we can return to society.

probably thelast place i would go.they are the first place everyone else would think of plus you might find swarms of zombies attracted by the people and/or very trigger-happy people with their new/existing guns.

i definetly wouldnt pick a car park of aall things. first, very open, exposed, probably in the city with the biggest zombie pop. second,you wouild probably find zombies there as people in the panic phase run for their cars and are maybe devoured by a waiting zombie. 3rd, as zombies are stupid,are seatbelted zombies. at any point a zombie, still strapped in the same seatbelt that caused their doom, could reach out and attack you.

terrible step... first, slepeing in your car. in most scenarios, zombies have increaed sense of smells. if you were attacked in your car, your odds diminish in a very cramped place like a car. then just simply driving.the idea of driving in i assume a city or anywhere besides the countryside is extremely slow or impossible.the streets would definetly be littered with wreckage, bodies, zombies, cars, and possibly abandoned fortifications, or even worse human bandits. also the gas station, depending on area and length of outbreak, might be looted and dripped dry of all oil/gas/petrol/whatever.

and how will you make sure your plane/boat is safe. if you are in a plane, how would you contact any boats or especially submarines? most submarines are military and have different channels than civilian aircraft/boats/subs.
By the way I never acctually put step 5 or step 10 or Step 3. It was my brother who acctually does all this o his Computer Games if he is on a Zombie Game. So don't blame me ask my bro or sis about that!

Also: going out to sea is a bad idea for a couple of reasons: 1. You need water. You can't drink seawater and water purifier tablets aren't that great in number. Not to mention, it'd be a biznartch to loot them since that's what everyone's going to go for... to die for.
2. Gun stores are going to be first on peoples minds, as well as groceries and survival things. Unless you live ddirectly beside one of these places it's unlikely you're going to get there before everyone else.
3. Specify what virus, saying "Zombie" is not good enough. You need to know what kind of zombie it is.
