I was at an outdoor wedding yesterday and the reception was also outside and I forgot to put bug spray. I was just wondering if you guys have any suggestions to stop them from itching becuase I have 36 in all.

Take a pair of binoculars, turn them opposite of the direction they should be facing, and look at the bite from there for a few minutes. For some reason, seeing a paining area as smaller than it really is supposedly makes the feeling seem smaller as well.

I read about it in something about illusions. I'll try to find the sauce.

Oh, you have NO IDEA how many mosquito bites I have on me since day 1 of my vacation. I have at least 8 on the front side of me. I have no idea how many I have on the back, since I can't look there, but I bet there are plenty. I took a soak in the tub with anti-itch soap and put on baking soda later and it worked wonders.

Well luckily for me, I don't get mosquito bites, even if they do suck my blood. So I like to have fun with them.

Ex: Flex your arm, so they are stuck in you, causing them to explode because they are getting too much blood.

Is it just me and the people I know or isn't it called scratching?

I wouldn't scratch, that makes it only worse.. just don't think about it and leave it alone! Some people say cold water helps, but it didn't work for me.. You have a lot of (i don't know how to say it in english, but i guess it's called like this creams for misquito bitings.. Some people also make a cross in it with their nails..

Garlic keeps mosquitos away, I ate garlic before and during my vacation!

Evidence:

My Dad hates garlic and didn't eat it and got covered in mosquito bites!

If you get a bite, scratch a X with your fingernail right where it is. Always works for me

There's this stuff called Bactine, that you can usually find in a drug store. When I used it, it stopped the itching almost immediately, and the small swelling went down within a couple of hours. I don't if this has been mentioned yet, but saliva works really well to.

Wearing long loose clothing stops mosquitoes from biting.

If I got nothing to stop it itching I just put saliva on it. If you have scratched it , The Saliva will make it sting.

Some of you might go "ewww that's gross" but it works or you can try some cream from your local Chemist also known as your local drug store.

What? We call it a Chemist in Australia.

We call them pharmacies here. Honestly, I don't mind what term I use. Drug store, chemist, pharmacy etc.
