It's a set of books written by Rick Riordan, it's about a boy who discovers that he is the son of an Olympian and a mortal. He then discovers he has a destiny to save the world from a 'really evil dude'

Sounds cheesy, and stupid.

It's a little cheesy, but they're well written and pretty fun to read. His target audience is kids around 11-12. But I've seen adults reading them too.

Commanderdude 7, is 17 and he read it. Also, what's Alex Rider? I've heard of Artemis Fowl and was poorly written.

Haha don't even go there, Artemis Fowl is one of the best written series I've ever read. Alex Rider is a kids version of James Bond, basically the kid is recruited by MI-6 and takes missions around the world stopping villains hell bent on world domination. I stopped reading after the 3-4 book because it seemed like there was no point to it.

The first one was a pain in the ass to read. It was too far fetched and I pretty much hated how generic it was.

Meh, I read it when I was really young, because I remember buying the Eternity code when I was in the 5th grade. And it just kind of escalated from there.

The third was what the one about the goblin rebellions? From there the action just kinda built up, now there are demons, and he's aged like 3 years, all sorts of things.

There's six books at the moment, and a seventh is coming out in the fall. Demons we're introduced in the fifth book, The Lost Colony.
