what are some genres that you like but dont see as much of now? i think they should have more horror games like the old school silent hill and resident evil 1 without the stupid comedy stuff like dead rising (although it was a fun game)
more strategy,as said above.or physics. those really simple games are fun but most of the time they get boring after a few plays. i like games that really make u think and isnt just madly clicking at anything that moves...
honestly i think more games like metal gear need to be made. not like esact replica's but more like the whole sneak and kill kinda game. makes you think ahead. you know what im sayin?
Real Time Strategy, nuff said. No really, it's one of the best genres of videogames yet it's dying due to everybody moving to consoles.

Indeed. Real Time Strategy can be much more in depth just that consoles are killing it. There should be more Strategies, the only good series I know of is the Age of Empires series, oh and C&C (with POSSIBLY a dish of WCIII, I played Armies of Exigo and it was based highly on it), that's it. Meanwhile shooters got Gears of War, EndWar, Battlefield (omg too much of them ), CoD (should've stopped at CoD4 tbh), and then you have RPG's: Mass Effect series. <-- Favorite Fable Series <-- Favorite Dragon Age
Oh but also RPG's got alot more time put into it as well as replayability, not to mention: C&C = Last released in March 19 2010 Age of Empires = Last released in November 8 2007 Armies of Exigo = Least released in November 30 2004 Warcraft = Last released in February 27 2004
Fair enough given C&C, but nothing really changed except graphics and looks, that's all. And it didn't exactly score as high as you may have wanted, either.
RPG's = Fable Series and Mass Effect, I'd have to go with Fable though because of it's replayability and Peter Monyleux as he points out some epic stuff which alot of people don't realise.
The real question is, what genre of games should there be less of?
WWII Games / War Games in general (CoD / BFBC)
Yes, I do enjoy playing both of those, but I really love games like Mass Effect and Oblivion but over time, there is only so much you can do after months of playing and 3 or 4 saves of max level characters. :/

Which is why I CANNOT wait for Fable 3 and Fallout: New Vegas
Rpg's for the xbox. One where you pick a character, lvl him up, (maybe with friends on co-op)and pick out new moves. Like Champions of Norreth if anyone has ever played that game.
