This is a bit of a forum game, but at the same time it has the capacity to result in a bit of poetry, so it goes here. I'm going to supply a line of poetry, and the following poster is to create a poem using the line I gave as their first. Along with their poem, they supply a line for the next person to write poetry on. No restrictions on the type of line or poetry; just keep the line open ended.
The wind whistles quietly Across the chimney top. The warm cup is empty; I've drunk the last drop. The wires sway silently, As if they'll never stop. The telephone sits soundlessly; I've not yet heard from pop.
Tomorrow is a Sunday. The lazy sun rises slow; A day reserved for quite play family in tow. Freedom from work, freedom from school Freedom that I rue. Freedom might seem pretty cool, but the next day is Sunday too.

I need practice writing poetry. My tone is a bit inconsistent here, an the first few lines are awkward.
Under a salt moon (No one did this line last time)
The snow turns to rain, and I stop to watch the flakes melt to drops. As I walk to work, I smell the coffee swell in the lobby. I muse if the flakes, which patterned the cups, would melt into drops.
