This is a bit of a forum game, but at the same time it has the capacity to result in a bit of poetry, so it goes here. I'm going to supply a line of poetry, and the following poster is to create a poem using the line I gave as their first. Along with their poem, they supply a line for the next person to write poetry on. No restrictions on the type of line or poetry; just keep the line open ended.
Love like mad, hate like none With a heart as hot as a blazing sun Like a lover, like a fighter, Let love's flames burn all the brighter Heart in hand I stand ablaze And let love guide me through my days
A path that's tread by those who bleed walkers of it planting seeds that grow up hate and misery destruction and chaos all abound In this land where nothing sounds and through it cuts a road that's known as the path that's thread by those who bleed.
Serif is the sheriff Of a little font town, And Arial is the scary ol' Lady with a bland gown.
Times Roman, he's roamin' Like a cowboy would. Swigging Comic Sans, a man's Drink, bought with all he could.
Helvetica, newcomer to America, Tries to stake some land, But Courier, the surlier, Has already placed his stand.
Lucida, I'll go meet her In the brothel she run, With Handwriting and Typewriting, You can always have fun.
But over all things, beware the Wingdings, The most ruthless gang in the West. They'll rob all your kernings And all of your earnings, Then vanish away from arrest.
Running to the house that never gets closer Pointless, some might say The same can be said about juggling with gophers But it would still make my day
Yet there's something odd about this situation How come I make no progress? This might require some negotiation I'll ask it to come over in exchange for a pretty dress
