At the group stage, each player plays best of 3 games against each of the other 3 players. You score points as follows:
I thought you said it would be just 1 quick 1vs1 game. 2 out of 3 games is too long.
If you win 1 game that gets you a point. If you lose 1 game that gets you 0 points. You can get a total of 3 points.
In the case of 2 players at the top of the group being on the same number of points, the top seed is the player who won their head-to-head.
For example, if Players A and B both have 3 points in their group, and are the top point scorers, and player A BEAT player B in their head-to-head, then player A is the top seed.
Please make any corrections MiamiBigAL so there's no confusion. If I did everything right then don't do anything. Please also DO NOT correct how many games are needed to win the knock-out round, and the part below.

You posted that 2x. You also posted the group stage rules and the way it goes 2x. The only difference was that you made some parts of it bold on the 2nd post.
For the Group stage you need points. After the group stage you go to the knock-out stage.
Group stage= Wins get you points. Only the top 2 players there will proceed to the knock-out stage.
Knock-out stage= Depends what round it is. If you win a certain amount of games you proceed to the next round or win the tournament.
I'm not to sure about this. MiamiBigAL will have to check to see if I'm right for no confusion. Why? Because I've never arranged a group stage round before I'm going to need some help.
Know I think I know what a runner-up is. That's a person who has the 2nd most amount of points.

Hank, corrections you made are fine except for one complication.
There's a good chance there may be a 3-way tie, where 3 people end up with 2 points each and 1 person with 0. You need to come up with a way to adjust seedings accordingly. I said best of 3 games in order to reduce the chance of this happening, although I can see how you may think a best of 3 is too much at this stage.
Perhaps in the event of a 3-way tie, those 3 players can play each other once again to try and determine a definite top and 2nd seed.

TOURNAMENT (Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, FInals) STARTS ON AUGUST 1ST!
There is a 4 day interval instead of a 2 day interval from group stages to the tournament quarter-finals because I need to acquire all information about who's going where, have people play all their games, have people rest, and hone their skills. This requires more time than a 2 day interval.
