Well most of you have probably read my other threads, if not I will give you links to them. Here and here. Anyways I have gained ownereship of a new dog, her name is Khloris, and despite her major cuteness factor, she has a bad habit. She chews everything! She has already destroyed all three of my cell phone chargers omgsh! Anyways the reason I am posting this thread is for an opinion, based on personal experiences. How should I discipline her? I mean some people yell at their dogs, other spank them, and other do other stuff, and I was wondering, based on your experiences, how I should I discipline her. I don't want her to be scared of me or anything. And also chewing on stuff isn't the only habit that my dog has. She has a few problems with housetraining, when I take her outside she uses the restroom and all, but she doesn't show any signs when she has to use the restroom, she just goes, everywhere. She doesn't bark, or jujmp on my lap, or bark or anything. Please post your opinions on what I should do with my horrible puppy. Thank you all!
I have two extremely rowdy puppies and I just get them huge bones. That keeps them satisfied. As for the housetraining, this is perfectly normal behavior, and your dog probably hasn't fully realized that outside = bathroom. Like most dogs, you just have to stick it out for a few months before things click. Hope that helped
I hape that works to. And I guess I should get her a bone, I mean she is a Pit Bull, and she is a puppy, maybe she's teething? Although she is around two months old she is probably done with that.

Anyhow, best way to discipline is to isolate her and reprimand her, if you don't want her terrified of you. Don't get physical with her too much, pit bulls have a nasty habit of shredding peoples hands if all they get is painful punishment from owners. Keep it as nonphysical as possible.
Don't EVER spank her with your hands. She will be scared also when you pet her. Use a broom or a magazine. Also, don't ever let her into a room before you, and use perentory orders, with firm voice. Never be scared in front of her.

Okay I got it, i will use a magazine probably.
Ignore bad behavior. Reward good behavior. It will teach the dog what is good and what isnt.
Are you sure that will work?
Just say bad dog and ONLY when she goes inside put her outside. If you put her outside for something other then her going somewhere in the house she will think outside = punishment which is bad, trust me.
Okay so only put her outside if she has used the restrom inside, okay.
