I read this book called the giver and it ended up that all of the people in this communtity except for two couldn't see color. It got me thinking about how a person could describe color to someone that didn't see color. It seems like it would be nearly impossible. I think sound would be just as hard to describe as color. Which do you think would be harder to describe and why. Also, how would you describe sound and or color.
Also in reference to what Haiku1234567890 said. There are in fact millions of colors in our daily life that our spectrum of sight cannot see at all. Makes you think of perspective. Perspective is a very cool thing. What other things do you think are in this world, that can not be seen by our eyes?
color is in reality the way your mind perceives and interprets certain wavelengths along the electromagnetic spectrum. there is only a certain range that can be seen. and due to genetic mishaps some people's eyes can't pick up certain wavelengths.... that or they just look the same as others
sound is what you get when vibrations that go through the air (or whatever medium there is at the time) and into your ear and make the tempanic membrane in your ear vibrate so that your brain can then interpret it
