In my many hours of using the Internet, I've posted my fair share of forums. But they never went through publishing without being trashed. Allot. For example, a few months back, I made a forum post that was quickly thrown together without consideration of spelling or grammar. But when I checked back, I found a slew of mean comments, the most hurtful of which was 3 paragraphs long, and said "I would rather slit my wrists and put them in hot water than mangle the English language, which you have clearly done" and things of that manner. My point is that there are plenty of mean people who trash the work of 13 years olds. But I ask this: Why would you go to the trouble of trashing someone's work, when you don't even know the author?!?!?!?!? I hope you understand what I'm trying to get through.
Also I lol'ed at that hulapalooza guy's thread about the mods and how (I found this out later in a chat room) he was most very likely lying about going out with Zoph (if he actually is, I'm sorry).
Lol, dude, wtf, no. Odds I'd date a guy? Very low. Odds I'd date a guy dumb enough to go on a website and get himself banned multiple times like that? Even lower.
Kinda surprised anyone believed him, even if just temporarily.

Lol someone said they where dating you zoph,I never heard about that!Anyways sounds funny how someone that stupid could say they where dating someone when they obvisouly weren't!XD
I think the conversation moved from jerks to stalkers... Creepers, by the sounds of it.
The mention of 'there are no consequences on the internet' makes it easy. People prey on the weak or calling someone else a name, and some of them get cocky about how many times they've been banned from this, that, or the other site for being a troll/jerk/spammer/impersonating a blueberry scone.
If I know I'm smarter or think I have a better opinion or am feeling catty, I step back and remind myself that it's the internet. Some are jerks because they can feel like they're winning at the game of life by dominating something as inconsequential as an online discussion. Not to say I won't defend myself or fire back, but I pick my battles. More people should think before posting. It could save a lot of grief.
Unfortunately there is nothing you can do about this. The world is a screwed up place and there are so many reason's why a person would ridicule another, usually branching from their own personal inadequacies. When I was a kid my older brother would pick on me, I would pick on my younger brother, the younger would pick on the youngest brother, and the youngest brother would pick on the dog. Our society is basically structured around this philosophy. To change this, you would have to change society. I am not saying you should not work on your grammar, we all have room for improvement. But there are far more positive ways of letting someone know they have done something bothersome. My wife hates my grammar.
The issue with the internet jerks is that they thrive off of negative attention. These are the same people that people either dislike, or who simply don't get enough attention in their personal lives and feel that they have to get negative attention on the internet to gain some worth from their day.
Typically they suffer from any of a multitude of psychological issues and social deficiencies. If you give them the negative attention they are craving then they will continue, and if you ignore them they will try even harder to bother you.
Really your best option with this people is to respond calmly, rationally, and as little as possible. Thus they are not getting the negative attention they are going for, yet you are engaging them enough to discourage further outbursts.
On a side note, when I see people behaving like this my first reaction is to feel sorry for them that their lives are such that they feel it necessary to gain attention in such a manner. (Although in some cases they are just extremely immature and ignorant people who enjoy irritating others, but can't do so in RL for risk of having their faces rearranged)
I'm dyslexic, my reading is terrible, my writing is terrible and my spelling is the worst. I even spelt the name Zach wrong the other day when writing a letter to someone whos name was there in front of me.
fact is tho, i can never use my dyslexia as an excuse because computers have this great thing attached to it; A Dictionary. If anything correct my writing so many times has helped me in the long run, more than the extra tuition i had at school anyway. Take a few minutes to go through and Right click on all the Red Underlined words and correct them. It's not hard, and you won't get insulted through them.
To answer you question of why people point out obvious grammar issues:
You need more than a spellcheck, you should be replaed by your in that sentence. If you're just posting a thread try to keep it understandable with a minute amount of abbreviations. ty.
