How do you feel about Zodiac Signs, do you take them for mere gospel, or are you stuck to your daily horoscopes everyday?
Do you compare two Zodiac signs when looking for love & lust, or do you snigger at the thought of Signs & Symbols playing with the game of life and controlling our paths?

Honestly I think people look to prophecies and astrology to find something else that is in control of events so as to either absolve them of responsibility or to eliminate the uncertainties of life that they are afraid of.
So many times when things go badly I hear people say "it was God's will" or "it was in the cards" or other such statements. All it is really is an admission of helplessness. But it's easier to claim helplessness in the presence of a divine power or some celestial fate or guiding hand than to simply admit that we are powerless.
People seem to feel that if they themselves are powerless then there MUST be something else that has that power and they search for ways to appeal to that power in their favor. It's as if humans can't simply admit that there is nothing that anyone can do.

I couldn't agree more. A lot of people will believe in anything as long as it makes them feel more secure. I think it's the same thing with religion, just a big system designed to make people feel more secure.
Astrology is all about telling people what they want to hear. Read the cheap newspaper horoscopes: they are general advices, things I could tell everyone too. They're taking profit of the human tendency to try to identify with things, to look for the common points instead of the differences. The readers of horoscopes do all the job of (unconsciously) convincing themselves that those apply on them.

Or are you asserting that it's a case of blind leading the blind?
Exactly. Or even better - the stupid leading the stupid(er). Even those trained in the pseudoscience of astrology aren't aware that there are actually 13 constellations that should be in the zodiac. And I've never come across one that even new what precession was and how it affects the actual zodiac dates. I actually Googled something about zodiac signs to get the name of that 13th constellation and I have to really refine my search because of all the "scientifically supported" sites that claim to prove that astrology is real. Maybe it's manipulation, but only at some meta-level, I'd suggest.
