I heard many a rumor that they're gonna make a MMO out of the Elder Scrolls series. I will cry if they do. Just use Google, and you'll find lots of rumors.

There are always rumors when it comes to big games like the Elder Scrolls. And if they choose to make the Elder Scrolls an MMO(highly unlikely) due to the success of the last game, I will lead a world wide boycott against the company and all of it's releases.

Obsidion are developing New Vegas, and Bethesda publishing it. New vegas is a stand alone title, not a direct sequal to fallout 3.
Fallout out for is a whole otehr game, Betehsda said they plan to make Fallout 4 before 2018.

So their next huge product will prolly be TES 5, which of course they probably are working on in one way or another right now.
But as there was a guy in morrowind who told exactly the main plot of oblibvion, their probably is a direct link to the story of TES5 somewhere in Oblivion

I heard that it was supposed to come out this year. (ES 5) I guess that won't happen, because I've hardly heard anything about it. It'll probably come out next year. I want to get it because I immediately fell in love with Oblivion.

Bethesda's very own Pete Hines has confirmed that yes, an MMORPG installment of the wildly popular Elder Scrolls series is on the way. (www.destructoid.com) They budget for the game is said to be $300 Million dollars. *Dr. Evil face*

For all those loyal to the series, this will be a definite buy. Bethesda is a great company and I too cannot wait for ES5.

(sigh) If you are going to state something, give the link to the page, not the site. READ THIS NO OFFICIAL MMO

This is 3 year old news, The $300 million is for Zenimax to distributed to a multitude of projects, not just one.

Just owning the domain URL thing doesnt mean there will be an MMO, nothing officially confirmed. They just got the domain before someone else did. Do you realize how many domains are taken and made redirect to advertising sites?

If their is some newer news about this, link me. As there being an MMO, possible. Zenimax would make it though, not Bethesda (Todd Howard said that his team doesnt make MMOs), and that would be the only logcal choice for them to make an MMO of, as they DO NOT own the rights to make a Fallout MMO.

Uh... I haven't checked this or anything but wasn't the character you reference in the Bloodmoon expansion, which was probably being polished about the time Oblivion was put in motion? Just a guess there.

If I'm right on both counts though, if anyone wants to search for possible elements/spoiler to ES5 in-game, the expansions for Oblivion seem like the place to look. Those, and M'aiq the Liar.

The new Elder Scrolls will be taking place in the land of the nords... Skyrim

At least, I hope it will lol, I'm pretty positive it will too.
You can check this website for the latest news... although you all probably know that lol.
Anyway, I'm getting ready for TESV by playing Morrowind and Oblivion again lol, just played a bunch of Morrowind today... in a dark basement... I feel nerdy. But there was someone there with me, and we took turns goofing around, so it wasn't... - well still actually it was pretty nerdy.
Anyway, on the site I gave out earlier in the post, it has an article about a rumored announcement on TESV at E3. The article came out a few days before E3, and no new article came out. Does anyone know if an announcement actually took place??

There are a lot of rumors about elderscrolls V I"ve not found any confirmation other than no tesV was announced at E3, which means to me the game is more than a year out if we're lucky(as in short sided) It might not even be in development, I haven't yet found a reliable source about tesV

Okay, just throwing this out right now, there better not be ANY mmo by Bethesda. They are famous for making awesome single player games, and they better STAY that way.

They better not contract STEAM either.

Um they make multiplayer games... fallout that recently released is a multiplayer game with a single player campaign fyi. They haven't however ever made a massively multiplayer or near that as far as i know they keep their caps relatively low but I haven't played the latest fallout to be 100% positive on that through. I don't think they're working on tesV because I know somewhere a few years back i read that they said that they weren't planning to make another tesV ever. Or something along those lines, So untill I see proof on their site or a reputable source for once.... I would have to say tesV is unlikely to be in the works.

Not scheduled. The closest thing Bethesda are bringing out to an MMO is Brink, but that's not dedicated to multiplayer. Interplay(?) are taking a shot at Fallout MMO though, which could be interesting.

Errr, no?

It was made unofficially. I do not think it got very big though.
