Now Nintendo has there DS and Sony the PSP, but do you think microsoft will ever convert to a handheld gaming console (besides computers)?
I was rummaging google and happened upon an article from 2006 that talked for a project but it looks as if it has stopped.

I just think ti would be nice to play like halo or what not on the go and use your gamertag to play online as well...

In case you were confused by any of that, i think there should be a handheld xbox device.

Here's a better question - should there have been an Xbox in the first place?
Oh, and another - should there have been other consoles, in the first place?
PC > Other Consoles, that includes PS, Xbox, Wii.
Simply because of the control etc u can have, the only beneift of a console is the analog sticks (Kinect and the Wii is very compatible with a PC) which some mouses have that, so that is also obsolete.
:P But no, in either case, I don't think the industry would allow such a competition, unless Xbox fanbois revert to it, which wouldn't be a significant number, I'd imagine.

I think there should. You can play Halo with your freinds and be under a shady tree. It should have multyplayer capabilaties.

Umm.. No.
Multiplayer as handheld is very difficult to do - especially world-wide.

Besides, why be in a shady tree when you could be in your bedroom?
Why want a handheld anyway? The benefits aren't that beneficial to people who play on an Xbox anyway, they wont bwig scweens! And gans bwazing evweeweehhh!

i agree with HighFire, it will be hard to play online multiplayer. plus it would probly fail just like the psp =P

If it was completely flawless and knew its limitations, yes. I, for one, don't want to even try to play Halo, or COD on a hand held. Bioshock might be fun though

PSP was a failure, tbh, I don't know much people who have one (just 1, which pales in comparison to a PS3 / Xbox 360) and has no benefits that a PS has, with exception to it being portable, but you don't generally see people outside with a PSP or DS, now do ya?

Anyway, correcting a quote just above this one:
That would not be cool

:P Jk. RandomNoob, why do you think it'd be cool?

No thank you.

By the way mobile phones will be strong enough to handle hand held games in a couple of year anyhow

Bad idea. The games would just end up looking crappy. Then it would have to compete with the already awsome Nintendo DS and only focus on the handheld systems games and make the consol dry of games for awhile. They dont NEED to make a handheld device because there already doing great with the consol.

OMG OMG Xbox 180?!?!
yes thats what it would likely be called IF they made a handheld, which they likely wont in the future (about the next 5 years).
