So, if Idon't select a country on my profile, the area where a flag would be shows up a a box with the little white box with the red x in the middle. While this is no big deal, and really deserves no attention at all, I found it amusing.
a white background with an x denotes the abscense of a supposed to be URLed pic. Since you did not pick a country, you don't see one. I don't see this as a big deal, or amusing at all.
Also, you may see different "no image" images, or nothing at all. KFK see's a box (like I've seen before), a few of us saw a red x in a white box (I did too), and I see nothing at all.
I thought the red X in a white box meant it can't retreive the file
Correct, just like what I said!
If you want an example, go to your profile, wait for it to load for sometime, when your armatar comes up, instantly remove the internet connection. This would unable your computer to retrieve the pic from the specified URL, and you will see the mark even if you picked a country.
Really, there is nothing new about it, neither it is a glitch or some kind of exploit. Just learn simple internet rules. Trust me, it works everywhere, even the FBI's website.

Jesus christ calm your sh*t. I'm just trying to point sometihng funny out. If you honestly ge tthat uptight about everytihng, you might wanna go see a doctor. I had just assumed it would be a blank space, but it actually counts the blank space as a picture which I find funny.
