Ok so I will be a Freshman this year and school starts in about three weeks.
Today I went to Freshman Orientation, and was tired because I only got about three hours of sleep last night.( I go by central time) So I was think I am going to be really freaking tired, but no I was wide awake. Now the begginning of the orientation started out with a dance called the wiggalo. Please no questions.
Now the school is awesome and I love it but it's huge. Lots of secret hallways and staircases. So my question to you is... What was your Fish year like and if you haven't had it yet then what do you want it to be like? If you could go to a modern technologically involved high school would you, or would you go to a more traditional high school?
I just finished my Frosh year, and let me tell you something, it was a time and a half. But know your place. Dont go walking around thinking you're a badass or anything like that. and don't give me that BS that you "have an older senior cousin/brother". Trust me. Their friends wont give a shit. School hasn't even started yet and as a soph, i can easily tell you the urge to just say "Freshman" in a derrogatory manner is one of the most tempting things to do while frustrated.
There's a huge maturity growth between September of your Frosh year and January, and upper classmen usually can't tolerate some immature brat. Just be mellow, don't draw too much attention to yourself, and let the older kids approach you. and you will have a time and a half. Trust me.
hat sounds like something fun to try, but they are going to be teaching us how to do that kind of stuff, so I'm sure they would have to have something more secure, or else they would just be begging for problems.
My school had no classes that taught you how to use a computer, we only had classes that taught specific programs like autocad(for engineering). And most of their weaknesses were passed down from seniors to younger students, who then found more weaknesses to pass down.

That depends on who you are. I pushed seniors out of my way as a freshman. I even knocked one down as he was running through the halls on the last day of school(though in all fairness he ran into me and lost). I also never was in a fight, people always backed down. It really depends on who you are.
Sorry if this is a double post, but I felt I had to say this.

My school is desperate for funding, they charge you if you get a loaner shirt, or if you leave your school id at home, and this year they charged us for every little thing during book returns. I also had a studnet bill for 15 dollars, which I paid off during the first week, and in the middle of the school year they sent me a bill charging me again! I lost the receipt so I am going to have to pay it again.
