How about making a list of threads that the person chooses so that he can short-cut to them? and so that it will be written on the list how many posts have been made after your last post there and which of his friends has contributed to which thread.
interesting is an opinion. for example, some may find the masturbation thread to be very interesting, while others yawn at it and move on to create a birdwatching thread.

I believe you mean to instantly click to a thread you like? That can be easily done by bookmarking any thread or forum you like. If you're also like me, you have folders that are specifically for one site. I personally have a folder for xfire, armorgames, newgrounds, and 4chan (the hush-hush kind, *snicker*).

I don't know why it would be important how many posts were made after your post, but maybe something to show that there has been a ~*NEW*~ post since your last visit? That would be nice.
With this, it could be possible to have something different pop up whenever a friend posts in that thread, such as a different new post color (~*NEW*~?). It can keep you up to date on your favorite threads and show you if your friends have posted in it. Very nice idea, maybe one to look at for AG 3.0.
