Seriously all of that is a no. I get so lazy now to even try to get a merit or a single point. In fact the only people who care about points are beginners (noobs) in AG.

Try telling that to most of the people in the top so-and-so. The only exemptions there are the moderators, because a significant proportion of our posts are due to obligatory activity, so as a rule we don't give a toss about our AP.

When I write a review I do not consider the possibility of getting a merit. I don't even care about getting a merit. I care about saying what I think about the game and hoping it'll be helpful in some way. As I've said before, only one in ten of my reviews actually get merits, which (IMO) means that the vast majority of what I write doesn't get spotted*. That's not a cause for complaint, seeing as the system is not conducive to those comments being spotted anyway.
* Note here that no moderator gives themselves merits.
Giving points for merits and for nothing else doesn't quite solve whatever issue there may be just yet, because that would only increase the burden of expectations on moderators to be rigorous with their merit giving, which, frankly, is well beyond our capability at present.

Despite the fact that I still take note of my AP and when I reach certain amounts of it, overall I don't care too much for AP. I don't feel the need to exert any more concentration on earning AP. So yes I do care about AP but not to an obsessive extent.

Let's be honest, I've spammed before. However, I never do any of the above activities with the intention of gaining points. I admit that I do so for amusement. Which consisted of a handful of ghost/inactive user comments. So no, I don't spam to get AP. AP just comes with spamming.

AP is good and many sites have a point system. However I disapprove obsessing over it and the excessive lust some apparently have for virtual numbers. No one cares about the size of your e-peen here. I'm dissatisfied seeing braggarts over here. I believe Kongregate is a better place to do such things. Here, you just write crap and submit it every thirty seconds and click on bars to maximize your point count. Over there you actually play games to earn points. Yes you can hack the badges there too but hey, wasting your life to get AP is worse in my opinion.

Yes I would. Even if the prospects of earning a merit are sure to motivate, I still do enjoy writing good reviews for good games I choose to review. Even if I'm lazy these days, I still write occasionally. I can say I've gotten a merit for around a quarter of my reviews. Reviews are fun to write. I should write some more if I have time.

Right, I do. There is nothing to be ashamed of. I am not a chronic spammer but I have done so occasionally.

Lemme see. I still support having separate comments and reviews, or another way to let the better reviews be spotted. The main thing I'm aiming for though is to remove AP from comments. That by far will eliminate one of the site's major causes of spam. Though I'm not so sure how the audience will react to this. In my opinion it isn't too nice seeing people rate 1000+ games in a day or something to brag about their e-peen, yet in reality it doesn't cause much of a problem. The comment spamming does. That's it I guess.

The number doesn't really matter. As with all one's stats it's nice to look at 'em and the development of them but it doesn't have any significant purpose or meaning. As for the posts themselves, I care about the posts I make. Quality is necessary indeed.

That depends. People will probally leave is AP leaves, since that appears to be fuel for some people. I will stay, but if too many people leave, so will I.

It's good to attract people, and attract people to the community aswell. It does increase spam alot, but it does give people something to aim for.

I've said so before, that a merit is unimportant to me. Page 7(?) of the tavern reveals a thread called, write a movie merit prize!!! On one of it's pages you can see me going in against merits. The only thing they are to me is a credit from a mod. I prefer to get credits from the whole community, rather than that of mods. It's nice to have one, but I really don't care, since most mods are barely online and probally don't even know most of the users.

I don't get this question. I love to post on the forums, but I'm not doing it for the ap it gains. I'm mostly active in the forum games, and I used to post alot in the newbs section aswell. People claimed I was the most famous user under 500 posts when I had like 250 posts. People kept saying I had to make posts elsewhere, but I hate the repetetive stuff everywhere.
