It's just my opinion. And you know what? I'm pretty sure Dan will keep Armorpoints on Armorgames. I don't see why he would take it away. AP seems to be keeping people around AG.
Well AP is the thing that bumps most of us into joining and getting it by commenting, But no.
Would you spam a ghost user's profile, game comments or the forum to get AP?
No.
If you do any of the above, are you fine with that?
I wouldn't be fine with that, i'd be mad at myself, and somewhat sad.
If AP left this site, would you leave?
No, i wouldn't.
Your opinion on AP?
Do you care about merits?
Yes, i do, even though i only have 1.
Would you write a good review if you didn't get a merit?
I wouldn't, i'm sorry.
Do you think you spam?
No.
If you could completely redo the AP system, what would you do?
I would make Game Achievements that would give (5,10,15,20 AP) and that would be "Hard" to get, so people would PLAY the games, not just spam and leave, but of course make some achievements that give 2 or 3 for those easy Achievements.
Do you care about forum posts?
Even though i have a small amount of posts, i do care about them.
No. The only use for AP is to get new armatars. If all armatars were unlocked at all times then I would see no need for AP
Would you spam a ghost user's profile, game comments or the forum to get AP?
No.
If you do any of the above, are you fine with that?
No I am not. I find it childish and it promotes spam and ghost accounts.
If AP left this site, would you leave?
Nope.
Your opinion on AP?
Again, I think it's useless. Unlock all the armatars and get rid of AP.
Do you care about merits?
No. It's always nice to be recognized for contributing, but it's not necessary.
Would you write a good review if you didn't get a merit?
Yes I would. Honestly I would rather have the game developer let me know he appreciated my review and see some of my suggestions implemented in the game than get a merit.
Do you think you spam?
Probably once in a while. I think everyone does it from time to time, intentional or not. Same with trolling.
If you could completely redo the AP system, what would you do?
Eliminate AP from forum posts, game ratings, and profile comments, leave AP as is for game reviews, but add a minimum length requirement and block copy/pasting to reduce spam, and increase AP for games submitted and merits to 250 and 100 respectively.
That, or I'd just get rid of AP altogether.
Do you care about forum posts?
No not really. It's nice to see how active people are in the forums, but that's about it.
Where's the motivation to stay on AG, then? Where's the addiction factor?
the same as any other forum really. you just stay on beacsue you like the place and the people. And it still has games. Ag doesn't care if you make an account or not. Just so long as yo uclick pages so they get add money.
Do you care about AP? I only cared about them for getting out of the beginner ranks. After that they're just nice to have. Would you spam a ghost user's profile, game comments or the forum to get AP? Nope. Nowhere near that important.
If AP left this site, would you leave? No, but I like having them.
Your opinion on AP? Has a few kinks that could be worked out, but a good system regardless. Do you care about merits?
Merits are an actual indication of doing something good. So yeah, they're pretty important to get.
Would you write a good review if you didn't get a merit? I already do. I write honest reviews. Haven't gotten a merit yet, but I still write reviews. Do you think you spam? My forum post amount is far too low for me to be a spammer. Do you care about forum posts? Only when its a topic I care about.
I felt I should add, the real reason I stay here is for the games. The community and the extra networking features, along with the AP, are just nice additions. Really nice additions, but still not the main reason I'm here.
I was here for the games pretty much. But since I figured out about the forums/community, I prefered it more than the games. I find it just more fun. But the flash games are still pretty nice. Or good, or great...Depends.
Not really...If you go on my profile, you'll see I've been here for quite a while now and my aps are not that high because I'm not a spam machine. I just quietly go by, minding only what's interesting me and having fun with the community here so no; aps are not that important to me.
