Saving Private Ryan Patton Band of Brothers (the entire freaking thing) We were soldiers Full metal jacket Enemy at the gates (best opening scene.....evaarr!11!!1!) The Last Bridge(if you're into old school warmovies)
There is one more I can think of .....vietnam movie............charlie sheen......ummm
Absolutely Saving Private Ryan. The Hurt Locker is excellent, though less of a mainstream war movie. A Bridge Too Far and The Longest Day are classics, as are The Dirty Dozen and The Great Escape, also less mainstream war movies. And of course Black Hawk Down, Platoon, Patton, and the like.
Dude, I'm a chick but I'll give you some that haven't been mentioned yet, "Valkyrie". As Tom Cruise ages, his movies get better. Oh, how can I forget Mel Gibson's, "Braveheart" and "Patriot"?
