I don't seem to be recieving forum post updates when i post, which is shorting me on rank and points. Not that big of a deal, it seems i finally got a couple but not until i posted under "Support and Suggestions" do they posts only count under certain forums, cause im quite a few behind now...

Newcomers = Helping people or introducing yourself, helping people and saying 'Hi' is frowned upon.
Forum games = Fun, fun is also frowned upon.
Therefore no points for you!
But seriously, forum games usually require short answers, and are easy to post in all the time, without actually contributing anything. Newcomers is just introducing yourself and saying Hi, and guiding them to the rules section etc. So why would should you get points for those?
And spam isn't just bad because you get points for it, it's just generally annoying if it's done too much.

The reasoning behind the 'no AP' for the Newcomers and Forum Games sections is because the topics there generally promote short replies. We typically consider any response under 7-10 words a 'spam' comment, so to avoid hassling people about short responses which are prevalent in said sections there is simply no AP given.
Technically Leo, you're supposed to provide reasons WHY you gave the rating. Sort of how you do the same thing when you rate games, but you don't see anyone calling people spammers.....Forum games give you 0 AP, but are made under the pretense that your thread will promote at least one full sentence per reply.
Like you can say 8/10 in the rate the above users fame 40 times in one day and you are technically still doing the right thing.
If anyone seen someone doing this, would they please come tell a mod (me, I care), since that person would be spamming, and needs a warning. There is nothing safe about spamming in the non-AP sections, mods are just more lenient there.
Why? Why should anyone care? It gives no AP, so why enforse rules?
Because the rules say "Thou shall not spam on AG". Forum games is a part of AG. Thus you should not spam in forum games.
But the mods aren't looking there very much. So, you can easily get away with spam. Unless the spam is reported.
Soz. Is kinda boring place when you don't have the time to play there (or have people scream at you for doing so, because in that time, you could merit comments and stuff).
