I love Castlevania so much, but the company needs to stick to why Symphony of the Night was so good. This is the one game where gameplay is great and music is horrible. Symphony of the Night made you feel you were in a Transylvanian Castle, not a rock concert. There were only 2 songs used that were with electric guitars; one was in a boss battle, and one in Clock Tower to symbolize the flow of time, aka when the new music has dominion. The rest were ALL colonial and traditional music.
What happened to the art style now? Is Castlevania now anime or something? What happened to, again, the 1800s colonial style? They went from a time period most suited to a Transylvanian castle to the FUTURE with Japanese cartoons.

I heard pretty good things about Castlevania, once I get a handheld emulator I'll probably dig up ROMs for the original NES version and see how good they are.
Castlevania is one of the few handheld series that uses hand drawn characters, employs a great fighting engine, and you get to do it in Dracula's Castle! Pretty awesome. I haven't played the NES or the PS1 games.
