If you're wondering what the little C?==# in the title is, it's a Guitar, a Les Paul to be exact.
Alright, I kinda thought AG need one of these, so here it is. Your Welcome.
Basicly this is for AG members who love to play Guitar. Here you can get songwriteing help from me or other Members, learn new songs, discuse favorite Bands or Guitarists, or just talk about Guitars in General.
Of course, not just anyone can join (Though, it won't be too exclusive). No, first you'll have to summit a riff, and I or another higher ranked member of the club says it's good enough, we'll leave a message on your profile.
Because other member's abiltys, I do ask that all Riffs be summited in Tabliture or TAB. If you do not know how to use tab please refer to the diagram below... ____________________________________________________________ |--------|<-this is the string closest to the ground |--------| |----0---|<-the "0" indicates strum pick, but don't fret |----2---|<-the "2" indicates that you press down the 2nd |--------| fret on the 4th string |--------|<-this is the string closest to your head
Because the "0" is on top of the "2", you pick them together. ____________________________________________________________ Here's a blank TAB.
Its finally here, I've been planning this for a week.
This is the official start of the Guitar Club's annual guitar tab competition.
Here are the rules: 1 Anyone can submit their tabs IMPORTANT-(you dont have to be a member to submit, if you submit a tab, you become a member) 2 ONE Tab per person- ALSO IMPORTANT. 3. IF you make a mistake on your tab, DONT DOUBLE POST! wait until another person posts their tab and then redo yours. 4. THE TAB HAS TO BE ORIGINAL! IF YOU TAKE IT OR A PIECE FROM ANOTHER SONG, WE, THE JUDGES WILL DISQUALIFY YOU!
UH, thats about it, the contest has a week duration, The judges are: bacobit, nemo12, Agent_AAS, and madgamer131 and Have Fun!
Riff Contest Update: Judges can submit riffs, they just can't say "I GIVE MYSELF A 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000/10!", in other words, judges can't judge themselves.
You know, wouldn't it be a good idea to submit a video on youtube detailing the riff by sound? An otherwise boring tab might sound completely and utterly awesome when played in the way the writer intended.
well then the person who posts the tab has the libetyy to tell us judges how to correctly play it, because if they have a video of them playing it, they could post it.
So i guess i'll go then? i really like this riff, super simple power cords, so don't rate it too high as far as skill goes lol. however i think it sounds awesome for a possible rhythm guitar part on an acoustic or any amp setting. enjoy! (the "10's" are tens, not one-zero, so play fret 10 on A and fret 8 on E at the same time) ____________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________ 5_5_5_5_5__5_5_5_5_5_5_5__5_5_10_10_10_10_10__10_10__8_8_8_8_8__8_8_ 3_3_3_3_3__3_3_3_3_3_3_3__3_3__8__8__8__8__8___8__8__6_6_6_6_6__6_6_ and repeat
ugh sry 4 dbl post AGAIN, but there should not be an extra space between the 10 and 8 to 8 and 6 transition, play em at the same rate. if you just get confused, just play what sounds good, i mean, it's power chords so you cant screw up that bad right? lmao
for the triple! (and to revive the thread) @bacobit yeah that is a pretty awesome sounding riff, i also give it an 8/10! also, just fooling around with what u wrote, it also sounds really cool if you play just the lower 3 strings on an acoustic, or the entire chord on the acoustic, sounds sweet either way lol, just thought i'd add that!
