Let's say, hypothetically, heaven was a real place, and after death, you got the choice to either go to heaven or stay down on earth as a ghost. Which option would you choose and why?
Keep religious discussion out of this, because that isn't the point of this thread.
You do you know your paradise is just spending eternity praising God constantly?
Is more like brain-control, You are are on your knees saying the Lord's Prayer forever.
Which brings me an interesting point. If God "loves" us, he must be a pessimist. If his "love" for us is to imprison us in a place where we have no personal freedom, and have lost the ability to think for ourselves. He clearly thinks that humans are completely incompetent, pitiful, and thinks they are virus that drains Earth of other life. He thinks that he's has to protect us from ourselves by enslaving us into submission.
I'd be a ghost. I could change the world in certain ways just by haunting certain things. There's no heaven in any real religion where you can do that.
I suppose you could go into law enforcement as a "justice ghost" and stop crime using unfair ghost advantages. There'd be no way to stop you, so you'd never lose. Not the first thing on my list, but it's something to do as a ghost.
Wouldn't it be rather tedious without a decent antagonist?
It would depend on what heaven. If it was the Christian heaven were you live on your knees, then I would be a ghost. If it was a simple non theistic paradise, I would go there. I may even settle for Muslim heaven...
unless your mormon, and you ar arth, then you get your own planet, and a bunch of wifes to use to fill your planet, and god like powers, its gunna be awesome im so sure!!!
