Well whoever told there used to be one, lied. However having one isn't such a bad idea, although I would think that most sports could go in the tavern, and things such as Wimbledon, or the Soccer World Cup, etc. could go in the WEPR.
There was never a sports section to begin with on Armorgames. It was once a forum for Sports-Affiliated flash games that was removed when 2.0 started. They just bunched the different genres together into one "Flash Games" forum is all.

This has to do with the way AG was built. Comments and forums both make use of the same pool of ID numbers. Thus if you check the "first thread" it is actually the first game comment listed. At first people diidn't realize the fact that the game comments are listed as threads too, but it eventuated, it did.
Thus, this thread is invalid. Go rehash the Sports Section suggestion in the S&S if you wish to.
Petitions often turn spammy, because people go "Me too!". Suggestions should be put in the suggestion section. Also: Considering the sheer amount of threads about sport that both are active and keep being so, I think that the people complaining about the CoD have a better basis for getting a section. And they are not getting one either.
