Money is money, but honestly? This is a site for children and you are showing Scientology ads to impressionable young people? That actually makes me sick to my stomach.
I wouldn't be so quick to discredit it. I too was once like you, blind, however upon taking a free audit that cost me only $200 I learned I possessed extremely high thetan levels. As not to put such a gift to waste, I have since spent my days showing people the true path to enlightenment. I strongly suggest everyone go sign up here for free, and arrange for an audit in your local area. It could save your life, I know it did mine.
But I don't know that they conroll the ads, I'm pretty sure they are all through google, and google knows what the page is about cause there spies of the government or something like that <<
To: Klaushouse, Why don't you ask Strop, or Asherlee to move this thread over to the WERP and we'll debate it? Otherwise, it just looks like spam is taking over?

On this matter, it could very well be that a company that originally showed something else for advertising, advertised these Scientology ads, as well as others for something new. It is the same thing with advertising companies that post different points of topics. AG cannot know this; they can only agree that they are allowed to advertise, within certain boundaries. As I have said, it is possible a company that advertised X also advertises Y.
Yea, I really don't think AG was in control of said ad...For instance, it used to be that, when people went to my profile, an ad for awesomepossom.com(or something like that) would show up.
Advertisments are not only based on past browsing history, they are also location specific. The advertising company handles the advertising, not AG. AG should be allowed to remove inappropriate adverts.
Eh, if one finds inappropriate ads, I believe it might be a good idea to contact a community staff member. It'll get passed to the office staff.
An ad for Christianity? Why the need to advertise religion?
ROFL are you serious? Awesome. I have never seen a Scientology ad on this site, so a screenshot would be very helpful.
Note however that AG uses an independent agency that filters the advertisements they get. None of the staff know directly what ads we're going to get before we actually get them. The content of many of these advertisements have come into question, and we will take this into consideration when relaying the information back to the admins. It's the admins that do the hiring, so it's the admins that have to correspond with the agency.
Of course, I like the idea of a WEPR topic on whether Scientology advertisements should be allowed on AG. A brilliant topic of discussion!
And I thought America was the land of the free. Perhaps if you have contacts with companies who want to post advertisements that make it past your sensitivity meter then let the mods know. Other than that, this question has been brought up countless of times, always over some ad that people deem offensive, vulgar. And the discussion always ends this way:
You want AG? Let them place advertisements. Don't want ads? Get an
Ad blocker.
Done? Can we stop this discussion that has been thrashed over and over again? In fact, can we have a sticky for this?
