Dum... Dum... DUM...

The 4-meter-long drone aircraft can carry up to four cruise missiles and will have a range of 620 miles (1,000 kilometers), according to a state TV report â" not far enough to reach archenemy Israel.

"The jet, as well as being an ambassador of death for the enemies of humanity, has a main message of peace and friendship," said Ahmadinejad at the inauguration ceremony, which fell on the country's national day for its defense industries.

The goal of the aircraft, named Karrar or striker, is to "keep the enemy paralyzed in its bases," he said, adding that the aircraft is for deterrence and defensive purposes.

And this is just days after Iran begins fueling its first Nuclear Reactor. What do you think the significance of this is? Is it only a matter of time before it can reach Israel, and then the world?

Or is really just a deterrent? Simply a 'I have the bigger stick' kinda thing?

Debate.

well... no one will ever know... although at that rate it isn't much of a deterrent for much except a very small scale conventional attack...

They say that they want it to conduct surveillance over or launch strikes against U.S. ships and bases in the Persian Gulf, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Personally I believe though that it's just a big aircraft model. I don't think that Iran is capable (at least for now) of creating a reliable unmanned plane.

It's not a drone at all. They are just making it appear to be one, when they are actually trying to build a ballistic, or at least, a long range nuclear capable missile.

So, the US gave Israel Bombs/Missiles, but then Israel disarms them? Proper grammar, pweese.

And I thought Obama wouldn't become president...

But lets say that it is reliable. And Iran is buddy-buddy with Jordan and Lebenon. BOTH of which are with in striking range of Israel. All it would take would be a drone or two to 'get shipped to the wrong address' and ...

I was trying to prove a point but if your counter point is making fun of my english then it's not a very good one.

I don't think that jordan or lebanon has a leader as war happy as a iran does or hates isreal enough to bomb them.

The bomb/drone/missile, or whatever it's called, probably does exist but i highly doubt it actually works. I don't consider the state run media of Iran a reliable source of information. Even if it does exist and it does work, I don't think Iran has the infrastructure or the money to produce them in any real quantity.

Well Iran has always been a little crazy. I mean look who they have running their country, quite frankly this doesn't surprise me.

With Russia jump-starting their nuclear capabilities, anything is possible.

Russia? Nukes? What a joke.

They can't even keep track of them. If Iran ever gets a nuke that they themselves didn't build from scratch, blame Russia.

Anyhow, Iran doesn't have the capability to produce these drones on any kind of dangerous scale. A dozen or so maybe. Those would be harmless. Israel is more than used to bombs raining on them everyday. It'll just make them waltz into Iran and kill everyone. And bring the entire western world with them.

a nuclear reactor is not hte same as a nuclear bomb. maybe they just realized fossil fuels are diminishing, and a better established electrical system would be best.

1. We have excellent anti-ballistic and anti-aircraft missiles. See "arrow"
2. The US did not help Israel any more than they helped the USSR- The basics and that nuclear bombs can explode. The only real help we got was from France and South Africa.

But lets say that it is reliable. And Iran is buddy-buddy with Jordan and Lebenon. BOTH of which are with in striking range of Israel. All it would take would be a drone or two to 'get shipped to the wrong address' and ...

Jordan would almost certainly not attack us because of the peace treaty singed in 1994 , and Lebanon is unstable enough so that it will not risk war against Israel. What I would worry about is Syria and Saudi Arabia, thought I believe neither of them are trigger-happy.
