This is a sci-fi RPG. I'm planning on making it a hard one, where teamwork and not doing stupid stuff is important.
Backstory: You're a citizen of the planet Liloth. The main goverment's the United Galactic Proleteriats (UGP)--which contrary to its name, is in fact a dicatorship. In response to this, as well as high taxes, massacres, genocide, etc, of the outer planets, the Seraphim Confederation (SC) was formed--another government, but not yet ready to officialy declare sovereignty. At this time, someone assassinated the UGP magistrate of Liloth, prompting a retaliatory attack by the UGP. The SC was formed shortly thereafter, and a distress signal was sent...you stayed behind to evacuate the population.
Make the bio as detailed as possible please, so I can give you the respective stat advantages. Skills are not accessible yet.
I'll be taking a lot of players, and starting once 4-5 are here. Everyone else will be introduced shortly afterward, after the first segment's done.
A note about skills: they aren't skills you *use* (though they might come in later); they're sorta like tech/knowledge levels. If your bio says you were an electrician, then you'll get a boost to anything that involves electricity, such as ion tech. Be too vague, and you don't get a bonus.
If you want to know the skill tree, ask me...it's sci-fi, so sci-fi tech is in there
There are no classes; you specialize as you level up and put points into skills. Please, don't everyone spec into the same thing, or you'll end up losing.
Name: Carn Livingstone Level:1 Age:20 Bio: Apprentice Blacksmith in the forges of the SC. Carn descends from a former noble house having gone bankrupt, and his parents insisted that he still had a short basic education in science and fencing. He is calm most of the time, but can get choleric from time to time. HP: 650/650 Energy: 650/650 Skills: - Inventory: - Equipment: AK-47 [30 damage/5 shots per burst/60% accuracy]
While the others are busy shooting I search the bunker for any leftover part I could improve my AK with. If I find any I get to work (always wear some tools with me), if not I start shooting too.
Preliminary analysis reveals they have a reactor core in their center which powers them, and is vulnerable to attack. Their actuators are located in their joints, and are also vulnerable.
However, you must kill their shields to start focusing on any part of them. Shields ARE weak to melee weapons--slower objects aren't effected by shields. The poor guy just threw his rock too hard--not that it'd help if it got through, as the androids are armored. Since you don't have an analysis tool, you don't know their stats yet.
Before I forget--there's also combustion as a prereq for plasma, and it's in burning stuff. Plasma is of using superheated plasma as a weapon--first as a flamethrower, later you can use it as a ranged weapon. Ion weapons shoot ions, charged particles. They deal good damage, but need to charge up before firing for the most part. Because they're charged, they have special effects depending on the enemy. Arc weapons use an electric arc to burn through armor and such. They can jump between targets like electric weapons, and also deal electric damage.
You all have a bayonet btw, and Hahi, you find what appears to be a scope, but only one.
Also, shields can be overloaded by massive amounts of attacks. They recharge after being attacked though, so it is NOT a good idea to spread fire. Currently, you have not done any damage to them, as you've been spreading fire. They're almost in engagement range.
Character sheet: Name: Antigone Level: 1 Age: 21 Bio: The origins of Antigone are shrouded in mystery. Her father gouged his eyes out when she was very young, so she became the leader for both her little sister, her brothers, and her father. However, after her father died, her two brothers went to war over his inheritance. In the course of the war, both her brothers died. During the course of the war, she served as a kind of median between the two brothers, and so became good with weapons in the process. But when she stood up for one of the dead brothers' rights to burial, she was banished. And yes, this is srsly a Greek myth. HP: 650/650 Energy: 650/650 Skills: Inventory: Equipment: AK-47[30 damage/5 shots per burst/60% accuracy]
Hmm...I'll have plasma, then. We'll have to work as a team, you guys. So, who wants to throw the rock slowly to get rid of their shields, and who wants to shoot their joints while the shield is down?

Hmm.. since I found a scope I could mount it on my AK (it increases my accuracy right??(by how much btw?)) so I could better aim for the joints after you threw the rocks. Whaddaya think?
You guys have guns that shoot 11 times each time I calculate a shot, and there's 4 of you. Hint from before: shields can be overloaded by massive amounts of attacks. Btw, reactor cores are highly unstable if...well, unstabilized. Think nuclear reactor meltdown.
I think we can use this to our advantage. Throwing rocks at the reactors should be enough to destabilize them. (I have to ask, sry: what exactly is a scope? Thought it would be some kind of aiming thingie)
The scope'll increase accuracy by 5%, boosting it to 65. Also makes it easier for precision shooting. For the first level, damage isn't calculated much, as it's trying to introduce the fact you can't just shoot randomly, so they're pretty much invincible to random shooting, but vulnerable to a targeted attack.
For the last time, you can't use rocks, they won't do anything, even to the vulnerable core. ... Is anyone listening to the main vulnerability of shields at this stage of the game?

We've got to move fast. We should use suppression fire to move them closer together, then we'll all fire in rapid succession at the same joint of the same android. Should be enough for it to blow, should be enough to get most of them, if not all.
Since you mentioned blow, I'll redirect attacks to the core.
CONGRATULATIONS! You finally killed one of them, after a lot of randomness with rocks. The explosion kills all of them, but since they were in close range of the bunker, it takes damage. Bunker's down to 4500 HP.
They're getting reinforcements: 3x Human commandos: Unshielded 2x Human infantry: Unshielded
Humans are obviously weak to headshots, and the lack of shields makes it easy to send precise fire at them.
One of the commandos is loading what appears to be a rocket. He is protected by the other 4 guys in front. They appear to have bulky armor on as protection.

Right, if we're lucky it could even trigger a chain reaction. So let's get at it then. As soon as the shield of the one in the middle is down, I'll aim for the nuclear core.
