Less than 0, is a number that is so nothing, it takes away from the positive numbers! Now less than nothing in mass terms, well that is just outrageous and confusing. So... we wont go there! :O!
well temperatures below 0 on Celsius and Fahrenheit scale
Fahrenheit is like -459.67 all the way through 2.538 x 10^32 (theoretical) important for certain temperature scales and me ass freezes when i go outside -40

That's relative to the freezing temperatures of water and the early lowest man-made temperatures. Still not absolute zero, which is.. -273.15 Kelvin?
About negative numbers.. They're still numbers, no? Does not the absence of something still constitute as something? It may be empty space, but space is also something.
Negative values, recesses, recesses are something.. Meh, I shouldn't be thinking of ways to screw logic around late at night.
as far as temperature goes the numbers are just a scale. if you wanted to you could say 0 degrees was absolute zero. but then normal temperatures would seem VERY high.
