Well at the moment im a produce connoisseur until school is finished, its not really that interesting just dealing with all types of fruit and vegtables and the general public, some days its a challenge and other days not.

I have the coolest job out of all of you. I'm working for a pipe organ specialist. We basically go around to all the churchs in the area and fix/service there pipe organs.

Its fun, and is a nice story to tell.

Those advertisement things that have a band of advertisements that scroll along on a loop -- I know someone who makes the plastic shields to prevent the adverts being ruined. Bet he wasn't expecting profession as a kid.

Being in the Marines isn't really an odd job.

Yeah thats true but to bad the thread doesnt want odd jobs, it says interesting jobs but thats off topic.

Why are you going to join the marines when you have a college education backing you? My plan is if i dont going get into UNI join the army and then return as a mature aged student.

I work in a book store...

It's cool, I guess, because I can at least pretend to be well read.
But not very interesting.

My neighbor, on the other hand, is a surveyor/firefighter/bee keeper.

The Surveying job is actually the most interesting. He gets to go all over the state (Alaska) and map properties.

In the future I want to become a doctor or a scientist with a P.H.D in science. The pay is good and being given the ability and opportunity to be able to help someone is an even better reward.

dude, that would be AWESOME (i'm practically a carnivore) dude burgers made from select cuts straight from the butcher is SO much better than store bought ground beef.
anyway, i just started working t a local ice cream shop, in fact i just ended my shift closing it an hour ago. turns out its actually a LOT of work, although part of that might be the fact that we are the largest distributer of Hershey's ice cream in the entire nation (no joke, it's something like 400 gallons a week that we go through i think?). that being said, i'm off to bed.
and that just rhymed. cool

ps. how come so many people are using the fact that they are teenagers as an excuse to not work? i'm just about to turn 17, i work, my friends all work (except for one spoiled one), and at least 2/3 of the kids that are sophomores or higher in my school have jobs. it's actually pretty sweet to get your own paycheck for working hard and accomplishing something.
