The Christian hell? Sounds like fun. I could meat Einstein, Steven Hawking( when he dies), Charlie Chaplin, and a bunch of other people I have wanted to speak with. As for the physical pain, I usually just ignore it when I am alive and when I am dead, I won't have nerves to even feel it.

Then I must already be dead and in hell. That would be pretty much a divine comedy.

Christian hell probably is a fun place, I agree with 314d1. Lots of nice people, big parties, orgies, whatever.. And I like to think that even devils and demons participate, since they had thousands of years now to torture souls, they probably had their share. Maybe just torturing newcomers a bit, for the form^^
Hel however, the nordic 'hell', surely isn't a nice place to go. All rotten and dark and spooky, with a dragon eating the cadavers...
Hades is probably one of the better choices, I mean ok it's mainly grey and uninteresting, but it's more the peaceful place, and there are lots of nice shades there too, since it's the only place in greek myths where everyone goes.
In egyptian myths, well, if you fail in the final test your heart gets eaten, don't know what happens next but it's surely not pleasant, probably eternal damnation for your Ba or something like that (or was it your Ka?)

Limbo got abolished since. And also why are there Cerberus, the river Styx and guys pushing rocks in a diagram of christian hell? Those buggers did it again, eh? Copying from the greeks this time...

You basically stop existing, so not so bad.

Actually the very concept of the Christian hell may have had roots among other places in the Greek Hades.

But I have found a photo of what the afterlife is like in Hell.

Indeed christian hell would simply be teeming with people, especially famous people. And methinks that the so called demons would've gotten tired after the first few centuries.

In hell, you get to sin, not like in boring heaven.
