Maybe the meaning is just to live it, or to make things happen, or even who knows. God knows, that's what. Well I'm not ever certain about what I'm saying this is crazy, yeah all these years and I haven't stopped to think about this.
the way i see it, if there is a meaning to life, then that signifies that there was someone or something to establish life so we could achieve that purpose, thus leading into a spiritual viewpoint of the meaning of life. So basically, the question then becomes what is God's (or whoever's god) purpose for creating life in the first place. If you are one who believes in no higher power, than the answer is simple; There is no meaning to life, it is just a one in a trillion coincidence that is utterly pointless when compared to the rest of the universe, not that there is then even anything of any significance at all in the universe. If you are a believer in a higher power (like I) then the answer is this; The meaning of life is to prepare us to live an eternity with God in heaven (or whatever afterlife one believes in). Our life is to determine how we will live in that eternity, whether we will go to heaven or hell. The Bible states that God created man simply because he was lonely, the Garden of Eden was a test of faith, to see if Adam and Eve would suit living with God in all eternity after they had passed away. now i won't get too much further into this about sin and forgiveness and the like and how that affects our afterlife (heaven vs hell) but i think you guys get the picture.
There is no objective, absolute meaning in life, just what you yourself think your life is here for. Oh wait, I just remembered, there is actually one: 'Carpe diem' is the meaning of life. Do it. Now.
I guess in the modern world, it is to die happy and satisfied with your life, do everything you wanted to and achieve personal goals before you die. The meaning of life is different to everybody.
But the real meaning of life is I think just to continue the life cycle. Live, create life, die. Just carry on our species and allow us to evolute.
When humans came around we were never created to have full time jobs and that, so we were just meant to do like the animals. Live off the land, survive and evolve. We just grew to be more intelligent than other species, and created our own way of life.
Kinda like monkeys and chimps will probably become much more intelligent in the next few hundreds years, a short video about chimps learning to co-operate. Nothing to do with the topic but I thought it was interesting
