Also, choose one weapon specialty when signing up... Ion, plasma, ballistics (guns...), missiles, electric, arc, explosives, incendiary, laserss, EMP. Also on the list: technology, medicine.
Some weapons have specialized delivery systems, while ballistics/missiles refers to a delivery system, which can be modded to use the other weapon types (eg. missile warheads).
Ask questions if you want to, and technology/medicine are niche skills but needed; if you pick those, you start out with a basic weapon (you won't be too far behind, don't worry)

There's 2 types of electric weps: arc and electric... Arc has a little bit of plasma mixed in, electric is just...zapping people. ALSO comes with a special effect...especially if anyone has ionized ammo (which apparently we won't, no one took missile/ballistic)

And we go. However, some information: Laser weapons at least (and some more probably later, maybe ion later), use energy to fire. The Cobra laser pistol uses capacitor cells, which are basically ammo. You can recharge the capacitors by using up your energy; with 2 spare ones right now, you probably won't run out. The tech skill also gives access to...techy things. Weapons with a continuous RoF do that much damage in one turn; accuracy is found out by assuming 100 shots, then taking a % of the total damage. USE THE ENVIRONMENT. The shock troopers blasted a hole in the wall when they got in, so there's a lotta rubble lying around.

A) What does rof 6 mean i.e. in terms of my dmg output per turn. Also does taht mean i use 6 bullets per turn
B) Roll behind Philip with his shield and start blind firing with my Cobra laser pistol. Making sure to keep my limbs (all but my shooting hand) within the perimeter of his shield.
