Seeing as the last attempt at this completely failed...
Gonna rehost this, see if we have better luck.
Storyline's picking up from where the previous one (The Liloth Rebellion) left off, fast forward a bit...
Setting is on the SCS Charybdis Sector Command Base.

Also, choose one weapon specialty when signing up...
Ion, plasma, ballistics (guns...), missiles, electric, arc, explosives, incendiary, laserss, EMP. Also on the list: technology, medicine.

Some weapons have specialized delivery systems, while ballistics/missiles refers to a delivery system, which can be modded to use the other weapon types (eg. missile warheads).

Ask questions if you want to, and technology/medicine are niche skills but needed; if you pick those, you start out with a basic weapon (you won't be too far behind, don't worry)

I'll be taking...a lot of people hopefully. By the way, don't pick the same specialty, please...you will need variety.

Shields are shield generators, it's like a bubble encapsulating yourself...though if you want another shield in the offhand position, okay then...
Tech's a supporting skill, so it has different uses based on the situation. Unfortunately...this first fight I don't think it's much use :X

Chuck one of my spare capacitors at around near the elite trooper. Then try to aim and shoot at my spare Cobra capacitor hoping it has some explosive effect when I destroy it. (/pray it ahs an effect )

Yeah, it uses 2 energy per shot, and stores 12 shots (24 energy).

Your shot overloads that capacitor, creating an energy explosion. Although it doesn't take out the creation, it does destroy everyone's shields.

The elite's shields weren't affected for some reason, but he's on fire. :O

i jump behind cover and i try and fix my shield (actually can it be off hand it looks cooler like that XD

if i can't fix it i just jump from cover to cover and fire mah gun (allies included as cover)

Shields auto-regen; it'll be back to full next turn, regening instantly if broken.

You shoot the elite, but it doesn't appear to do much. It's now apparent he has no shields--it's all in his armor. However, you did manage to start another fire on his armor, so now he's covered in flames.

Philip, you take out the damaged shock trooper. However...the device is finished assembling, and it's a minigun...:O

The minigun is now shooting at Philip, who is luckly behind some rubble as cover. Unfortunately, moving is suicide, at least with your shield down.

The 3 remaining shock troopers take a defensive position with the elite. They are currently crouching so they aren't TK'd.
