I was on the yahoo page and I see the news, apparently a bomb in Pakistan had killed 54 people, and it has some connection to the point I'm saying (Taliban threatening US)
They are a threat to the US, they've already killed thousands in our country (Remember 9/11)
Actually that was Al Qaeda, an Arabic terrorist group. Many of Afghan Taleban despise them, as they see them as foreigners meddling in their affairs at the expense of the Afghan people. Perhas if the Bush administration had been more even handed with them in 2001, the Mujahideen would be helping the US hunt down the terrorists responsible for 911 instead of hindering them.

The Taliban are a cancer. They are a voracious cancer, and no matter what you do, you cannot sway their thoughts. They are a cancer to Earth, they are a cancer to mankind. They are a cancer that needs extermination, or they will continue to propagate, turning normally good cells into more of their cancerous growth. To exterminate them, we must destroy them all.
Of course, like a cancer, they are not keen on just going away. They see us as a cancer, and they see the same: We must be exterminated. This is a war of ideology, people, and only one side is going to win, and that day will come when all of us are dead, or all of them are dead. Therefore, they must die. In an ideological war, this is a sad fact: No one is innocent. Chances are, until we sterilize them, that no cauterization would work.
Our next best bet, besides just making them go bye bye to the point where they just stop trying to kill us, is to use psychological warfare. Fear, as it is. As was pointed out elsewhere, if we can terrify them to the point that there is no higher power than us, it would work.
Of course, they probably think the same of us.
As for the child soldiers, few of them are innocent. They, in a sad twist of fate, are fed nonsense 24/7. They believe in our destruction just as fervently as their older counterparts. There is an age where they can still be saved living to kill us, but it's not very high. Maybe 8-10 or so. Imprisonment or death is all that will stop most older than them.
Oh for the love of- You're talking like an idiot. Get the soldier mentality out of your head and think, for just one minute, like a person. People kill people - fact. We don't need more opportunities to kill each other. Nor do we need to be seen as a 'higher power' we need to make them see us as equals and not oppressors - that would just breed deeper hatred.
