The system witht he points is fine. The reason that you dont get points from playing games is so Armor games can provide feedback to the programmers about the game, if you could just get a point from playing a game you wouldnt really bother rating game would you, and the flaw is that you could just refresh the page and there is another point.
That would be actually really hard to do for the creators of AG. Even if I don't know how to script, I'm sure what you're asking for is really hard to make and already been thought of before.

We actually do get AP by doing something - merits.
And everything else on the AP list. If you broaden your idea of 'doing something', rating games counts. Plus forum posting and commenting...
That would take an insane amount of programing, unless you meant that some games from now on did that. Alot of people have had that idea...including me, but that probably will not happen. I mean you already have alot of ways to get points.
With the points for achievements thing Armorgames would be copying Kongregate.And it's not good to be a copycat. Kongregate copied it from mofunzone and mofunzone from cassual colective so why not use it on just the AG games.
Am I the only one that notices that it's usually only the people with no AP and hardly any forum posts that want other ways to get AP?? If you want achievements go to Kong, otherwise get AP like everyone else, actually doing something!

Look, If you just rate and comment each new game that you play, and participate in the forums you'll get plenty of AP. Rating games and commenting, ESPECIALLY if you do it properly, is really important. Giving feedback is how AG knows what the users want, and can filter what is on the site accordingly. Commenting is especially helpful to the developers, you can tell them what you like/don't like in a game, request a sequel, and give suggestions. Work on doing that stuff, and forget about points, and before you know it you'll have massive dork status.
