Why do governments feel the need to make drugs illegal? If anything, it causes a lot more problems than there were before. If they were legalized, there would not be nearly as many violent actions over getting them since the prices would not be nearly as high. There would not been as many people over doing it with drugs, since it would eventually just become a normal thing in day-to-day life.
@Xzeno: So you would rather have poor criminals make money by selling dangerous drugs to people then on welfare? That's just twisted. That is, assuming you're against welfare.
Why? Isn't it equally 'twisted' to have rich criminals, er, business men making money off of drugs rather than... say... welfare?

No...businessmen make their money fair and square...capitalism is there so the poor can become rich...the (to some considered unfortunate) consequence is that the rich stay rich. Stop knocking businessmen who earn a lot of money in our society. And I have no feelings of pain imagining drug dealers out-on-their-[rhymes with glasses], no longer able to make money.
Now, back to topic...
I say, if you are gonna legalize them, them make it so potheads are inelligible for welfare...
Hugs not drugs. D.A.R.E. Rehab. Things made so you don't take drugs but yet you want to legalize them.
Not quite. Rehab is an institution people go to when they feel they have a problem & want to stop doing it, but feel the pangs of addiction & want some help.
I know a lot of people who do all kinds of stuff. Some of them smoke cigarettes, some drink, some smoke weed; I know a guy who does some coke every so often. None of them are addicts, it's not ruining any of their lives, and they all have very cool, well paying jobs.
The government can't make them ineligible because the government can't distinguish between who is going to use their money for drugs and who isn't. That is why people are able to get away with it. Plus it is like a tax rebate, people can do whatever they want with the money.

Ok then we can also make people who use aspirin ineligible too, or people how use pepto, or people who use meds to stop car sickness. Since all of these things can prully kill you.

Umm...it's not the dangerousness it's the lack of contribution to society...
i know right why isnt weed legal right but i mean make it legal but make it like amsterdam where you cant smoke it in public areas only in cafes where you mustly but it and at home where you can smoke it all they so yea i wish in the future they legalism it
